Rating: Negative Type: Elipsn sold item to nanoscale Description: This guy will manipulate the truth in an attempt to make himself look better and make you look worse! DO NOT SELL TO THIS GUY! He will send payment without discussion of items, and then threaten to leave negative heatware if you don't send the items! Comments: Please see:

I refute his statements and exaggerations.
The truth of what happened is simple, I had upgraded my system so I listed the items (my old system primary components) for sell on [H]ardforum - I didn't do any market research - and listed them too quick and put a price way too low on the items, well below street value - that is indeed my fault - and I freely admit it - a mistake I won't make in the future.
However, when "nanoscale" noticed that these items were listed well below street/forum price, he quickly contacted me and offered to buy them. I agreed, reluctantly as I knew I hadn't done any research on the value of the items - but hey, it was a quick sell, or so I thought.
"nanoscale" then sent me paypal payment for the items I agreed to sell him, *and* other items that I had listed (memory) - that *we had not agreed upon* - he just took it on himself to send me paypal and try to grab them at below fair value, this is when I decided to *refund* his paypal payment and look into how much the stuff I was selling was worth.
- this guy new exactly what he was doing, he quickly sent me payment without us firming out the details of the agreement, he tried to buy items I *had not* agreed to sell him by forcibly sending payment without discussing it, and is now using the fact that I decided to *refund* his money and not complete the transaction against me by leaving bad heatware for no good reason - NO TRANSACTION EVER OCCURRED, he just wanted to grab the stuff before I realized what I had was worth more than I thought.
Moreover, he "threatened" to leave me a bad Heatware evaluation (he now has) if I didn't sell to him at a price that simply isn't fair, and I mistakenly listed the items at, which was my fault, but when I tried to correct it he decides that he is going to attack me because he didn't get the cpu/motherboard/memory at a steal of a price - ridiculous.
He claims he was "shocked" that I wanted more money? I didn't ask him for more money. I simply canceled the deal and told him I was going to re-list the items at a fair price, likely on Craigslist or eBay. After he hounded me via forum msg, I agreed that if he would pay an increased, fair market value price - that I would be willing to sell to him. But that wasn't good enough, he wanted to rip someone off.
I would never sell any items to more that one person, I canceled the trade with this idiot, and refunded his money immediately as soon as I realized the type of person I was dealing with (again, he tried to buy items without any sort of contact regarding those items, he just sent payment for them and decided that it was a done deal to try to force me to sell to him with threats of negative heatware....doesn't work that way dude.)
This guy is a manipulator and a liar, stay away. Response from nanoscale: Please take a look at these two selling threads

Seller said to me he would ship items to the next morning, then he shocked me that he had wanted to sell for more money, otherwise he would sell them off Craigslist or Ebay or hardforum again. Definitely not a good trader as he couldn't keep his words at all. Buyers should be aware that he might sell his items not only to you but also to others, and your funds paid to his items will be hold by paypal during dispute time.
In his defense, he wanted to get more money real bad. In the future I would appreciate it if people didn't do business like this. If they want to get more money, then sell them off Ebay please, and do your research before making a deal with someone. I would not recommend anyone to deal with him as you will be shocked by him anyway. | AudiTuner | | | | |
Rating: Neutral Type: AudiTuner bought item from nanoscale Description: I purchased a used Razer Imperator mouse from nanoscale on Techpowerup. Comments: I placed a "Want to Buy" ad on Techpowerup on Sunday, July 17th. I stated in my ad that my Logitech G5 mouse was having issues (second time I've had the same problem with a G5 mouse) and that I was looking for a Razer Imperator mouse as a replacement which I needed ASAP. If no one had one, I said in the ad, I would just buy one new from an online retailer the next day.
Nanoscale contacted me via PM and offered me a great deal on a Razer Imperator - $45 shipped. I thanked him and asked him for his PayPal address. He responded with his PayPal address as well as a link to a cached ad from another forum that had pictures of the mouse along with some other items he was selling. I sent the payment right away but didn't hear anything back from him for a day. I saw that he was online frequently and browsing the forums so I sent him a PM at around 4:00PM the next day (Tuesday) asking if he had a tracking number for the mouse. He didn't respond.
I watched as he continued to browse the forums some more that evening and the next morning. I sent him another PM on Wednesday morning and told him that I would leave him bad heatware feedback and file a PayPal dispute if he didn't actually respond. That seemed to get his attention. I thought it was pretty rude that he didn't acknowledge my payment or give me any update on the status of the mouse (which again, I said in my ad that I needed ASAP or I would just buy one online) and I told him all of this. He responded that he had mid-term exams and a new-born baby at home so that's why he hadn't answered my PMs, acknowledged the payment or given me any tracking information.
That seemed to be a legitimate enough excuse for me but I asked him anyway why he hadn't gotten back to me yet I had seen him frequently browsing the forums. He responded that he had "gotten a new phone and was merely connecting to the forums to test his internet connection speed on it". He also said that his phone's screen "was too small to read any PMs". Obviously, this was BS. He only had a phone to check the forums? He wasn't actually browsing them, he was testing his connection speed? What kind of new smart phone doesn't have a zoom feature anyway?
He updated PayPal with a tracking number on Wednesday from a shipping label which he printed out online. He told me that the mouse was shipped. The tracking info obviously never updated.
On Thursday I sent him another angry PM and he cancelled the shipping label in PayPal and updated it with a new one. That night he finally shipped the mouse out.
What really bothered me was how this guy ignored my PMs and kept browsing the forum until I had to threaten him with a PayPal dispute or a negative heatware rating. He obviously lied to me and he didn't ship the item out until Thursday night when I clearly stated in my ad that I needed the item shipped out on Monday. He also insinuated in a PM to me that the $45 I paid him for the mouse was hardly worth his time. Why would he even offer to sell the mouse for $45 if he felt that way about it?
---
In his defense he gave me a great deal on the mouse and included the retail packaging as well. It was packed well and the mouse is in excellent condition, hence the neutral feedback instead of negative.
In the future I would appreciate it if people didn't do business like this. If he couldn't ship the mouse out on Monday he shouldn't have responded to my ad and I certainly don't appreciate his lame BS. I would not recommend him to other buyers for this reason. | panfist | | | | |
Rating: Neutral Type: panfist bought item from nanoscale Description: I bought a used, lapped e5200. Comments: Shipping was prompt. The item was wrapped in an adequate amount of bubble wrap. I can't leave positive feedback because the processor still had thermal paste on it including on the contact side! I cleaned it very thoroughly with arctic two-part solution; luckily it worked. It was also shipped in a bag that accumulated static charge when I touched it. Everything worked and I would buy from nanoscale again, but next time I will demand pictures and not assume that everyone will take the same care that I would. | stickg1 | | | | |
