I purchased "Unreal Tournament" for Sega Dreamcast from Ian.
aa_koch was the Buyer on June 17, 2001 AnandTech
Ian had some problems with his PayPal account, so he decided to send the disc prior to receiving my payment. It took less than a week for the disc to land in my mailbox -- not bad for a trip halfway around the globe -- and fortunately his issue with PayPal was resolved fairly quickly. Easy to deal with, communicative and honest, I'd be delighted to deal with Ian again. And the fact that the disc was still shrinkwrapped didn't hurt either, of course... :)

I purchased a retail copy of Microsoft Windows XP Professional from Paul.
aa_koch was the Buyer on September 2, 2002 AnandTech
I contacted Paul about the copy of Microsoft Windows XP Professional he was selling, and asked him if he would accept cash via letter mail. Fortunately he did, and I sent him the money shortly after we had worked out the details. Upon receipt of the money, he immediately got in touch with me and said he'd be shipping the software the next day; however, that was before he noticed there was a booklet missing from the box. Instead of shipping it and pretending not to be aware, he decided to tell me ahead of time that there was a problem, and I value highly his honesty about it. Although I told him that it was no big deal, he insisted I accept an unopened copy of Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP to make up for the missing booklet. The package got to me in just a matter of days and in great condition. I highly recommend dealing with Paul for he is a kind, honest and generous person, and thus an excellent trader. A+, no doubt about it.

I purchased Microsoft Office XP Professional from Ted.
aa_koch was the Buyer on September 23, 2003 AnandTech
I contacted Ted in regard to the sale of the abovementioned software, and we quickly sorted out the terms of our deal. He allowed me to pay for shipping afterwards, which made this a very smooth transaction (since I am located in The Netherlands, it is difficult to determine correctly the cost of shipping in advance). I received the software only four days later (!), and in very good condition. Good communication and a positive attitude made this an enjoyable experience.

I traded Howard a 64MB PC-100 SDRAM module for the PC CD-ROM game "Asheron's Call"
Cross-traded on June 17, 2001 AnandTech
Howard contacted me about the game, and it didn't take long before we found ourselves sending each other the above-mentioned items. I received the game, as promised, in excellent condition only a few days later. Howard is a great guy to work with, and I'd be happy to deal with him again.

I bought an ATi Radeon 64MB DDR ViVo from Terry.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 25, 2001 AnandTech
This was the second card I bought from Terry, but this time I finally got to deal with him personally. (Before I had to buy from him via a friend of mine, 'cause I was unable to do PayPal. :)) I knew he was a great guy to deal with even before I got in touch with him, and the way he handled my request confirmed this. A+, and an example to everyone in the community.

I traded some Dreamcast games for a couple of DVD movies with Kevin.
Cross-traded on March 11, 2002 AnandTech
I responded to Kevin's thread in which he asked for Sega Dreamcast games. At the time I was looking for DVDs and he had some that were on my wishlist, so it didn't take us long to work out a deal. I got the (well-packaged) DVDs in less than a week, and in good condition. "Two thumbs up" not only for being a good trader, but also for being an extremely pleasant person to deal with.

I purchased Dead or Alive 3 and Project Gotham Racing for XBOX from Hamza.
aa_koch was the Buyer on May 2, 2002 AnandTech
I transferred payment via PayPal, and Hamza shipped the games soon after. They got to me in excellent condition, in just a little over a week (which isn\'t bad considering the package had to travel halfway around the globe :)).

I bought Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding for XBOX from Dan.
aa_koch was the Buyer on May 2, 2002 AnandTech
I didn\'t have any PayPal funds at the time, so I had to send Dan cash via snail mail. He informed me when the money had arrived, and shipped out the game shortly after. It got to me in just a matter of days, and in excellent condition.

I bought an AMD Athlon "Thunderbird" 900MHz from Edward, which turned out to be damaged upon arrival.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 25, 2001 AnandTech
When I spoke to Edward about the damage, he immediately offered to replace the chip with a new one or to refund my money. I opted for the latter, because I needed the money more than I needed the chip. He had no problem with this, and soon after I sent out the CPU, he transferred the amount to my PayPal account. So even when our transaction did not fare well, I think Edward deserves to be commended for the way he handled the situation. In my opinion, good traders are not only those who deliver as promised each and every time, but also (and especially) those who go above and beyond to make amends when a trade does not meet both parties' expectations. Luckily, Edward understands this, and that is why I would gladly deal with him again.

I sold an Interact Performance VGA Adapter for Sega Dreamcast to Inwoo.
aa_koch was the Seller on April 5, 2002 AnandTech
This was the first time I shipped an item via Economy, because Priority would\'ve cost more than half of the adapter\'s value. I didn\'t think it made sense to spend so much more on shipping, as I was told that it would take only three to five days longer to deliver. As it turned out, almost a month passed before the adapter finally arrived! Fortunately, Inwoo was very patient about the whole ordeal during this time, and told me repeatedly it wasn\'t a big deal. When it finally got there, I decided to refund him part of the money he paid to say thanks for not biting my head off when he had plenty reason to. (I know I wouldn\'t be happy if an item took that long to arrive.) I hope to be able to make amends someday, but I doubt he\'ll let me after this one... :)

I purchased a full retail copy of Windows XP Professional from Mark.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 1, 2002 AnandTech
I had been looking to buy a full version of Windows XP Professional for a while, and Mark's offer was too good to refuse. At the time, however, Heatware was down and we had no way of verifying each other's integrity. Also, I did not have enough PayPal funds, so I had to pay cash. Both issues were taken care of when Mark agreed to send the software COD to a friend of mine in Florida. I received the software from my friend a few days later, unopened and in excellent condition. Mark is a very nice person to deal with, and because of the way he dealt with the situation (I am from the Netherlands, so doing business with me ain't as straight-forward as it sounds :)), he's made it to my list of traders I would not hesitate to deal with again -- I recommend you add him to yours, also. :)

I purchased Jet Grind Radio for Sega Dreamcast from Jeff.
aa_koch was the Buyer on December 23, 2001 AnandTech
This was my second purchase from Jeff, and as before it was a pleasure to deal with him. He mailed out the game shortly before Christmas, I had it in my hands only four days later -- not bad for a package that traveled 4,000+ miles during Christmas time. :)

LED (160)
Bought PowerDVD 3.0 software from LED.
aa_koch was the Buyer on April 30, 2001 AnandTech
I had been looking for the programme at a good price for a while, and when I noticed that LED's copy was up for sale, I soon "moved in." Despite the lack of HeatWare evaluations on my behalf, he was kind enough to ship the software to me in advance. I received the disc in less than a week, and in excellent condition. It's been put to good use ever since, and I've no regrets buying from LED. He is an excellent trader, and an all-around nice guy -- guaranteed! :)

I purchased an AMD Athlon "Thunderbird" 750MHz from Steve, which he had already pre-tested to run at 950MHz.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 23, 2001 AnandTech
As a newbie to AnandTech at the time, I didn't know about Steve, nor his reputation of being an outstanding trader. My original WTB-request on AnandTech didn't draw much of a crowd, but those who did show up told me to get in touch with him. Although he was taking a breather for a few days, he soon responded to my message. He provided me with all the details on the chip, and soon after I found myself "PayPal-ling" the money to his account. (It wasn't until after that I discovered he had given me a special "Foreign Buyer Discount." :)) It took only a few days for the CPU to arrive, and I'm happy to report that it's running even better than promised. I know where I'll be getting my next CPU from... Great guy, great service, and A+ in my book!

I bought a ZIP250 USB from Steve.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 2, 2001 AnandTech
I was originally looking for a self-powered ZIP drive, but Steve didn't have this new model available at the time. Instead, he offered to have a regular drive modified, and he did so free of charge! I got the drive soon after he mailed it, and it's working great. I will definitely buy from him again, and if you are looking for any ZIP-related items, you should not hesitate to do so, either. A+ in my book.

I bought 25 thumb screws from Phil.
aa_koch was the Buyer on January 23, 2001 AnandTech
I had spent some time looking for thumb screws, but they do not seem to be available in the Netherlands. So when I came across Phil's thread on AnandTech, I couldn't resist buying a few. I paid him in advance, and he shipped them out the following day. The screws are excellent and make (de)construction of my PC a lot easier. I am very pleased with them, but disappointed that I didn't buy more... :)

I traded an AMD Athlon "Thunderbird" CPU for Ryin's 3COM 10/100 LAN+56K PC Card.
Cross-traded on May 16, 2001 AnandTech
I contacted Ryin after I noticed that he was looking to trade the PC Card for an ATi Radeon 64MB DDR w/ViVo. Although I didn't have such a card available at the time, I told him that I would buy it in return for the PC Card. He agreed, and I set out to buy this card from my "supplier." I received the PC Card within a few days, and found it to be in pristine condition. (It was still shrinkwrapped, as he said it would be.) Alas, to my surprise it turned out that I was unable to get Ryin the Radeon because the person I was getting them from no longer had this model available. Ryin then asked me to purchase a HD that was on sale at the time at Staples. Although a CSR initially told me that I could use a credit card that wasn't registered in the U.S., I was unable to complete the purchase on their web site when I tried to place the order. It turned out then that I had to have a credit card that was registered in North America after all. Ryin and I decided then to play it safe, and I ordered the above-mentioned CPU for him from Steve (Compuwiz1). It arrived soon after, and I was happy to finally take care of my part of the deal. Ryin was patient throughout all this time, and it must be mentioned that he not once showed any sign of anger towards my inability of finding him the item he was originally interested in. A great guy to deal with, in my humble opinion.

I purchased Sega Rally 2 for Sega Dreamcast from Jerry.
aa_koch was the Buyer on December 31, 1997 AnandTech
At the time of purchase, Jerry had no HeatWare thus he agreed to ship prior to receiving payment for the disc. Just before I received the disc in the mail, I paid him via PayPal. (I had not heard from him for a few days, and thought that he had forgot about shipping the disc because I thought he first wanted to find out about shipping cost. When he told me that it was already shipped, I didn't think I had a reason to wait any longer.) I got the disc the next day, in great condition. This was a "quick and clean" transaction, and should I have the honour of dealing with Jerry again, I would not hesitate to do so.

Bought two sticks of 128MB PC-100 SDRAM from Erik.
aa_koch was the Buyer on February 12, 2001 AnandTech
I purchased these modules for a friend, so I needed to confirm with him whether he was still looking for these modules. Erik was nice enough to reserve the items for me for a couple of hours so I could talk to my friend, and after I got the confirmation it didn't take long for us to work out the details of our transaction. He shipped the modules via FedEx, which must have cost him an arm and a leg -- but it paid off

I bought Microsoft Office XP from Heiko.
aa_koch was the Buyer on July 31, 2002 AnandTech
Because he had only a handful of evaluations at the time, I was hesitant about paying Heiko a relatively large sum of money in advance. We agreed upon my sending him $25 in advance as a downpayment, and the rest would follow after receipt of the software. The package got to me only a few days later, and I sent him the rest the same day. Great deal, good communication... what's not to like about this guy? :)

I purchased Norton AntiVirus 2003, Norton Ghost 2003, and Norton Internet Security 2003 from Erle.
aa_koch was the Buyer on February 13, 2003 AnandTech
Erle responded to my thread on AnandTech, and offered to sell to me the above-mentioned software. He made no issue out of my being unable to pay him immediately (I had no funds in my PayPal account at the time and it would take a few days for the transfer from my bank account to be completed), and in fact offered to ship in advance so there would be no unnecessary delay in my getting the software. Excellent communication and ditto service made this an enjoyable trading experience, and I'm looking forward to dealing with Erle again. A+

I purchased four DVD movies from John.
aa_koch was the Buyer on March 5, 2002 AnandTech
I got in touch with John via AnandTech's PM system to ask if he'd mind shipping to the Netherlands. He soon replied to my message and said he'd stop by the PO to get an estimate of the cost of shipping, which he informed me of the same day. I sent him the money via PayPal and he shipped the items the same day. I received the DVDs only five days later in excellent (sealed) condition -- wow! An honest person and an excellent communicator, I look forward to buying from John again if he gets more DVDs that are on my wishlist. :)

I bought a Maxtor ATA-100 PCI card from Ian.
aa_koch was the Buyer on August 15, 2002 AnandTech
This was my second purchase from Ian, so I knew up front there weren't going to be any problems. In fact, although I didn't have enough PayPal funds at the time, Ian decided to ship the card in advance anyway instead of waiting for the transfer of funds to my PayPal account to be completed. I paid him soon after, and received the card in less than a week. Another great deal with one of the good guys from the forums. :)
