Well, it had to happen. The ram was brand new and unopened, and it showed up to him DOA. :(
He was very cooperative and courteous about the situation, and was receptive to my suggestion on how to fix this. He was able to exchange it for a new stick of ram at his local OfficeMax,which saved us both a lot of hassle, and saved me the money it would have cost for shipping the doa one back to me, and shipping him another one.
Thanks again, I'd trade with this excellent trader anytime. :)
