This deal actually just got wrapped up in early November. The motherboard turned out to have faulty capacitors, so I shipped the rest and RMA'd the 8KTA3. Leigh did still want the 8KTA3 when it arrived to me with replaced capacitors, so he then sent payment for it.
Summary: A long trade, but overall, it didn't have any complications arising from either party involved - just the hardware.
