Traded a Panasonic Replay for a PII Laptop.

hm... I don't even know where to begin.
We made the deal and since he didn't have much heatware, he was to ship first and upon receiving the laptop, I was suppose to ship the ReplayTV. This process took close to 1 month. I was given bad fedex numbers, and was told several numbers of excuses. I cannot confirm if they're true or not, but I gave him benefit of the doubt.
I finally got the laptop after about a month and there were couple things that were an issue that I brought up. He was very apologetic, and offered to make things right by offering few parts. About a week later, the hard drive ( IBM Deathstar started to fail ). I mentioned that to him, and he said he would take care of that which I really appreciated.
To receive these additional parts and stuff I believe took an additional 3 weeks.
I have shipped him the ReplayTV via Airborne Express 2 days after I received the laptop.
This was my first trade that took close to if not 2 months to complete.
Don't get me wrong he a really nice guy, but if he can't get things done on time or what not then maybe you should take a break from trading.
I've read some other peoples evaluations and they seemed to have problems receiving proper tracking information too.
It's not that difficult to ship out a package. Fedex, UPS, Airborne Express all come and picks up packages if you arrange for it.
Overall conclusion, he does seem like a good guy, but is really slow on shipping. If you don't mind the slow slow slow shipping time then I guess he's the person to trade with. That however doesn't make things right by taking real long to get things out.
I was gonna initially leave a neutral, but it seems more fair that he get a negative.
I think you should either be prompt and get things out to people you trade or sell items to.
Believe me you wouldn't like it if members of the forum take many weeks to send out the item you have bought or traded for.
Hopefully you won't be taking too long to send things out to other members.
Conclusion: Good guy, very courteous, but real real slow on shipping.
Response from howardholtonWhat isekii says is completely true. I really screwed up and did not ship in a timely manner. Personally I disagree with the negative eval, but it is his perogative to post whatever feedback he feels is appropriate.August 28, 2003
