  • Broke my hardware, lied about it, and then got me to send him new stuff!

This started off as a simple transaction. He paid me for a Radeon 9700 and I shipped it to him. He says it arrived fine and we exchange heat. A few weeks later he sends me a PM saying he has finally got around to testing the card and says it doesn\'t work right at all. We can\'t get an RMA on it so I offer to send him a 9700Pro in exchange for the \"dead\" 9700 and $50. We do this and I recieve the card after almost two weeks.
There is no shipping damage but when I get the card out, it is missing the power connector and some sort of string is wrapped around the fan so that it won\'t run which causes it to overheat. On top of the, the card reeks of smoke. I got everything fixed with some soidering but I am still ticked off. I send him emails and PM\'s looking for some sort of compensation since I stuck with this card in the terrible condition it is in. I have given him three weeks now to respond. Moral of the story? STAY AWAY!
