Review for user macz28 from quebst

  • Bought a game bundle and "AMD XP 2200 T-bred 1.8 ghz" from him

quebst was the Seller on July 31, 2004 AnandTech

I am leaving this because of people messaging me concerning a locked thread. There were two problems with this deal. First, after sending him the money I had no communication for two weeks, through e-mail, pms, IMs, or third parties. During that time I had no idea if I was going to be ripped off, and sent an e-mail after 2 weeks saying I needed a response or I would have to assume the worst. That same day he responded, packed up the items and shipped them with a tracking number the next day.

The second problem concerns the 2200 t-bred. When it arrived it was labeled AXDC2000DUT3C and had a larger, barton-like look. It's actually a Thorton 2000+, but he claimed it was almost new from newegg and had registered as a 2200+ in his motherboard. After testing it in other motherboards it is recognized as a variety of models, so it is somewhat understandable, although the black label clearly states it is a 2000+.

When I did finally reach him he offered a refund or to ship the next day. I was fine with either and he made good. He was very sorry for the wait and sent the items priority. He also packed them outstanding, with the best packing I've ever seen for a CPU.

Because of the problems and questions I am leaving a neutral, but in no way think he was ever out to scam me. He's a good guy that I would consider trading with again, hopefully with better communication.
