    Attempted to trade some stuff + $10 for a 52X CD-ROM.

    Unfortunately, the items I sent were damaged in the shipment. However, Charlie accepted my offer to simply pay him the balance on what he was looking for in the first place for the CD-ROM drive, thereby avoiding any problems. Very classy guy, and I hope that I can succesfully complete a trade with him next time. And the 52X CD-ROM drive does work like a charm!
