  • Purched 1GB of ram (2x512)

Aaronj was the Seller on November 21, 2004 AnandTech

I agreed to purchase the ram for $190 and gave him my work address to ship to. I specifically told him this was my work address and even gave him my phone number. He never expressed any concerns over the shipping arrangements.

He then decided to ship to my home/paypal address without asking me if I agreed to this. (or at least warning me)

Apparently he shipped the ram but I never got it. It was most likely stolen from my doorstep where I never wanted it delivered because I wouldn't be home to receive it.

I'm giving him a negative not for doing this but because his attitude has been that it isn't his problem and for me to deal with it. I'm out $190 with nothing to show for it because he didn't ship the package to the agreed upon location. (where it would have been safe)

    Response from stumblebum1
    Ok
    These are the facts

    1. I never agreed to ship it to his work address It was only a request

    2. I shipped the ram promptly and it was delivered to his verified paypal adress on 11/18/2004 as shown by the USPS DC# 03041560000203645036

    3. I will work with with delivery and other issues but the fact is he waited 3 full days before contacting the post office . Think about it. if that was you would you wait 3 days? That lead me to believe he was just trying to scam me

    4. He threaten me with a negitive heat unless I gave him his money back

    5. As a seller I am not protected against fraud by paypal unless I ship to a buyers verified paypal address

    6. He filed a complaint with papal and after they revewed it it was dismissed.

I accept this negitive and it can stay simply because I refuse to be blackmailed period.
