  bought a laptop "as is" with known problems.

  mplogic was the Seller on October 29, 2004 AnandTech

  Good communication and easy transaction but shipped laptop with a missing memory cover and questionable packaging (had to pick styrofoam bits out of the memory compartment and some vents, ESD nightmare). When I asked for the missing memory cover (that was pictured in the listing), never got a reply. But lappy was cheap so still an ok deal.
