Review for user webekyle from masterxfob

  • i bought 2X512mb Mushkin PC3200.

    masterxfob was the Seller on March 19, 2005 AnandTech

    the Mushkin did not work in my system, it kept hanging and rebooting my system. since i already had some Crucial PC3200 in my system, i thought it must have been bad ram. i contacted kyle about it and instead of offering help, he accused me of trying to switch his working ram for dead ram.

    kyle then created a thread accusing me of being a troll and asking for advice. fellow members backed me up and advised kyle to take the ram back and give me a refund.

    i mailed the ram back and kyle said it worked fine in his system. he sent me a refund minus $8.00 for his shipping costs.

    it must have been some sort of compatibility issue with my system, but i had no idea of knowing that beforehand. i am sorry that it was a problem on my end. however, the way manner in which kyle handled the situation was uncalled for, for these reasons:

    1. he accused me of being a troll in PM's right from the start.

    2. i asked for a complete refund and he refused.

    3. he created a thread accusing me of being a troll.

    4. only after much pressure from fellow members did he give me a refund (minus $8.00).

    5. he had a similar situation in which he had compatibility issues on his part. the seller immediately gave kyle a refund.

    Response from webekyle
    I had accused him of switching the ram and being a troll because, from the beginning of him recieving the ram, his attitude towards me through PM was very negitive. In other words, he was very rude, it made me nervous, which led me to post a thread asking others for help (ive seen it happen before so i thought it was ok to do). I had never had any selling or buying problems here before on anandtech. Somehow the thread ended up backfiring on me because everyone teamed on his side because he had more heatware feedback than I. please note: i never had any other compatibility issues with the card i recieved in a previous deal, the guy didnt advertise what i was buying very well... Anyway, what im trying to say is: while masterxfob was scared of not getting his refund he told everybody in the thread that he said i wasnt going to give a refund. I had even told masterxfob a day/days before that i wasnt going to refund him till i had recieved the ram and within the hour i recieved it, i would...and i did. {please email me at webekyle@yahoo.com [sbcglobal.net] if you would like to see all the PMs between masterxfob and I}

    another thing that was said when he was refunded and everything was settled was that no feedback was going to be left both ways... at this point i would love to leave his first negative heatware feedback, but will not in fear it may backfire again. i dont trust masterxfob anymore, no matter how much heatware he may have...
