Review for user Busaninja from LeBronville

  • Bought computer

LeBronville was the Seller on April 16, 2005 HardForum

Computer arrived damaged. I shipped it back.

    Response from Busaninja
LeBronville stated he would write a positive evaluation if I would request his negative be removed.

This is a retalitory evaluation for the negative evaluation I left for him before I discovered HE HAD LISTED THE COMPUTER FOR SALE ON 2 DIFFERENT FS/FT SITES.

I never received payment or communication requesting permission to sale. Luckily, a member from The [H]ard Forum linked his FS listings back to the [H]ard causing LeBronville to end the sale.

It was only after his trollish behavior was revealed on several sites did he finally ship the system back, albeit damaged, missing a plastic optical door, and packaged with folded newspaper on the sides.

I shipped a damage free system to him. I received a system missing the cover of an DVD-Writer and the writer eject button broken.

I am willing to accept the button may have been broke during shipment, but the missing plastic door did not vanish, the computer did not put itself up for sale, nor did it package itself with folded newspapers.

    Update
Lebronville shipped the system back to me albeit not in the same condition. I am including an email he sent me where he states he was trying to sell the system on two different forums (Thank you Mamma for the links to and fro).

I am also including my response I sent today. As HvyMtl stated both of our reputations were on the line. I was wrong for stating he was a troll and should of been more careful of what I said. I apologize for my mistakes.

His email to me on April 8th:

I told you I would ask a friend didn't I? I got on that night at 8:15pm and you weren't on. I made a post from a different computer on occ and genmay at my parents house, I can't check my AOL e-mail from it and I didn't get back here until Tuesday, and checked e-mailed you on Wed, and finally sat down to read my e-mail today. I tried reselling it so I didn't have to ship it back to you and you could get your money, had someone interested, but he backed out. So I sent the system back to you. Fed Ex ground. I'm not on my computer 24/7, I have a busy life at the moment. I apologize for not receiving and responding to your e-mails sooner. But the system has been shipped back. When you receive it, I ask you to make the heatware neutral atleast. I will leave you positive heat for your patience when you change it. I am not a bad guy, just a busy one. I spend 40+ hours in a lab per week, with an additional 15 in lecture and work on top of that.

    My email I sent today:

    Steve,
I am not looking to debate with you but I would like to say a few things.

In response to your email, yes, you said you would take it to a friend's the next day (why is beyond me) and I asked for you to contact me the same day which you agreed to. I even went on to say something to the effect of -"as long as there is communication I am fine".

You have an AOL account. Your claim that you couldn't check your email, etc., as you didn't have access to your computer is lame. You were on another computer and posted in there forums. So, you had internet access. With AOL, you can access your account from anywhere. Also, you logged in to the [H]ardforums after you were late in contacting me, and was ignoring my attempts to contact you. You didn't post when you logged in but, the forum shows you logged in. You did however post at VH1 which I was able to discover by googling your user name.

I shipped you a damage free system. After receiving the system back I believe it is possible, if not probable, the door on the optical drive wouldn't open for you. I took the drive apart and the switch on the circuit board has a little rubber button on it and behind the rubber disk it is missing something such as a spring or something similar. My thoughts of the HP door that covers that optical drive is an entirely different as it was present when I shipped it but is missing completely. Your packaging of the system with a few pieces of the foam I used and then newspaper was poor packaging at the least.

You contacted me stating you wanted to buy the system. I shipped you the system, and you stalled while you tried to sell it for a profit, without using any of your money. To assist this act, you made the the claim of the plastic slide door being broke. After finding out I have a replacement door, another piece suddenly becomes broken later in the conversation.

You claim you are not a bad person, just a busy person. If you are so busy that you cannot be responsible in your trades, then you shouldn't trade. Its a simple concept...no time to ship, then don't sell. No money to pay, then don't agree to buy. If you screw up, accept responsibility for your errors.

"So I can get a positive evaluation from you if I change yours to a neutral or better?" That would be disrespectful to Heat, and any trader that considers entering into a transaction with you. I feel a negative is more than warranted. I won't change my evaluation but I would like to add to it. Writing it so soon was a error on my part and it left out many details and the final outcome.

I am not asking for any monetary compensation from you but if you have the door to the optical drive I would appreciate if you would ship it to me asap.
