Review for user nnnyyy from TechnoButt

  • I sold him an ATI HDTV Wonder retail kit.

TechnoButt was the Buyer on July 17, 2005 AnandTech

He paid first. I shipped using fedex ground in the original retail packaging (the odd triangular package) at the advice of my fedex CSR. It turns out that they will stand behind damage claims if you ship in the retail package reboxed, as well. I should have done that and I didn't, and the tight packaging took a bit of a crunch and the board lost a capacitor.

Norman notified me immediately of the damage and even kept up with the capacitor that came off the board. He reboxed my original packaging to preserve the condition so I could file a shipping claim. I reimbursed him his original amount and the cost of the return shipping/packaging immediately when he supplied the total (after shipping).

He worked with me and fedex to resolve the claim. I ended up getting the cost of the card + one way shipping back (although it took almost 7 weeks from the date of original shipment).

In the end, everyone is taken care of. Norman was a pleasure to deal with and kept a very cool head and worked through the return process and assisted me with the damage claim with fedex. I look forward to future deals and will learn from this, my first shipping damage, to help better package in the future.

A+ trader! I'd recommend him to anyone. Like I always say, it's not wether or not a deal goes south, it's how you deal with it when it does that determines what kind of trader you are. Norman is the best kind!
