    Good communication and paid as promised. However, he had a change of heart after paying for my item. I hadn't shipped it yet (waiting for check to clear) and fortunately ended up selling it to someone else.

    If you buy from him, demand he give you feedback first. If you are the buyer, IMO, the seller should be giving feedback first (regarding your payment).
