Review for user MaxPayne3476 from Schfifty Five

  • Bought a TV Tuner card off Anandtech for sale. Card was damamged, returned the card, and have not received my refund. Communication is HORRIBLE.

Schfifty Five was the Seller on September 16, 2005 AnandTech

Originally Zach was very communicative. He would reply to PMs and email in a timely manner.

When I received the TV card, it was damaged, but he was still very communicative. We exchanged friendly emails and all seemed well. He offered a refund and was apologetic. I thought all was well.

After he received his tv tuner back, it took him 3 days to send a paypal refund to me. I couldn't accept his paypal because it was credit card. It took him another week for him to respond to me after sending 3 emails, the last of which said I would contact paypal/anandtech.

So finally, he sent word to me and again was apologetic. Supposedly there was some miscommunication, but the fact is that I sent him numerous emails and only the last one where I threatened to contact paypal/Anandtech.

Ok so on 9/6/2005, he said he would mail out a money order. It is now 9/17/2005, and I have not received anything. I have emailed him 3 times (to all his emails that I knew of) and called his cell phone. He has not responded to me once.

I really don't know why he decided to ignore me. It's very frustrating. I'm reading everyone elses positive reviews and he seemed like a good guy. But for some reason unknown to me he has decided to ignore me. I don't know even konw if I will ever get my $45 back.

It's true that my money order could be in the mail/got lost, but this doesn't excuse him for not answering to me. It is very unprofessional to go 3 or more days without returning emails/calls when you are dealing a transaction with someone.

I will never do business with him again.

Hey, in response to this, he is absolutely right. I sent him out the tuner card and perhaps I must have just been in too much of a rush or something, but anyway, the card arrived broken.

Long story short, this deal went bad because of me. There was a period were I couldn't get on the internet due to a lack of PC, and I should have notified him immediatley of any issues. I finally had just gotten lazy and forgetful with the Money Order and hadn't kept up with checkin my emails to see that - oh yea - he did email me.

He has since recieved his Money Order of a total $45 and I have absolutely learned my lesson and from now on, all of the deals that I have to make will be organized essentially and the deal done promptly.
