    Buyer contacts me 2 weeks after purchasing drives to tell me 2 of the drives are defective.

    DarthVR6 was the Buyer on October 7, 2006 RedFlagDeals

    Dietrich claims I never offered him any form of warranty. He forgets to mention that I specifically stated to him when I dropped it off [all the way to where he lives, when he clearly made arrangements to meet me half way, yet backed out] that he should go home and test the drives. If he has any issues to contact me as I will refund or replace the drive. Any reasonable seller offers warranty against DOA. 2 weeks later is not \'on arrival\' as anything could have happened during the 2 week period. This is why I have refused to refund the buyers money. I\'ve had numerous dealings on EBAY, RFD, Craigslist and have never come across any issues whether buying or selling. To wait 2 weeks to test out a hard drive is un acceptable.

    1. He delivered the drives bare, in no anti-static bags, or packaging. Just plops 4 bare drives into my hands.

    2. One of the non-working drives, makes very loud clicking noises. This indicates that the drive was not working to begin with.

    3. It doesn\'t matter whether I tested the drives the same day or 2 weeks later. The drives were never good to begin with.

    I accept my loss, and that I should have tried to test the drives earlier.

    Nevertheless, these drives were sold as working when they were defective. Therefore, everyone should know the truth, and have the opportunity to exercise caution when dealing with him.
