  • Sold an eVGA 8800GTS 320MB SC edition w/TT TMG ND5 cooler

sabregen was the Buyer on December 2, 2007 HardForum

Card was listed as previously damaged in shipping, and was sold as-is, with no warranty due to fully disclosed physical damage. Buyer requested pictures of the damage, and had additional questions. I did my best to take pictures as he requested, and answer his questions. After he received the items, he complained that I did not disclose the extent of the damage, although it was obvious to everyone else that the card was pretty beat up. He requested a full refund, which I refused. He filed a Paypal dispute, then a claim, and started a thread trying to discredit me as a seller. He has made many people\'s DO NOT TRADE LIST because of his inability to consider that if his questions were not answered before the purchase, then he should not have sent payment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY.

Here\'s the thread where he filed the complaint on the forums: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1242034

If you felt that the card was so beat up and possably dead then why did you sell it as a fixer upper and price it at $150? Thats what i thought! SHould of sold it as parts like what i did with this card. Someone bought what you sold me for 83.39 shipped, for $40 shipped. He\'s gona fix his GTS with it.

Paypal let him get away with it as they dont care about the quality of goods received, only that you receive it.

I have a bad graphics card but you dont see me trying to pass it off on someone else without them knowing!

Best to just not sell such damaged items or sell it as parts only and priced accordingly!
