Review for user Bill Clo from khurios2000

  • Tried to Buy Q6600 but Bill Backout for some reason.

khurios2000 was the Seller on June 5, 2008 AnandTech

This is the weirdest transaction I\'ve ever had. Bill is not very friendly in term communication and understanding. The transaction was canceled by Bill after i asked him to continue the purchased.

bottom line: the transaction was never happened, this is a type of transaction that the seller back out the deal.

for future buyer that looking to see if it is worth to trade w/ Bill, the answer is no.

first because he not good in communication, the second his patience was razor thin or i can say no patience at all.

proceed with your own risk dealing w/ this guy, because he might give you a negative for something that never happen.

very immature and unprofessional trader here folks.

he will back out the deal if you ask him lots of questions, and might give a negative evaluation for transaction that never exist.

BillClo: I\'ve gopt 2 Q6600s (one is sold, but payment hasn\'t arrived and the buyer isn\'t concerned about batch #, etc. You could pick which one you wanted.

    1) L721A814

    2) L727A934

    khurios2000: Hi BillClo,

Does your Q6600 retail or OEM?

    how much for the L727A964?

    Bill Clo:
They are both OEM, no heatsink or fan. I DO have the heatsinks I was using (one Scythe Ninja still available) though.

I\'d like to get $190 for it if I could; got new baby bills coming up in a few weeks.

    3 days later...

Bill Clo So have you decided if you want that Q6600 I was offering?

    Bill

khurios2000: not decided yet, im trying to sell my Quad 45nm first.

    thanks

    Bill,

khurios2000:i was just wondering if the cpu oem pulled from dell/hp machine?

    thanks

    Bill Clo
No, I bought it OEM to put in a Folding at Home machine. Got it from ClubIT when they were selling OEM CPUs for less than retail.

khurios2000: any discount for your fellow folder here :D

    khurios2000:ill send $180

what kind of payment method you like?

    thanks

ps: you dont do paypal or google checkout, dont you?

    Bill Clo:
No, I don\'t do Paypal; if you\'ll re-read the ad, it says so. They screwed me over big-time, held my money for 180 days on a whim, and really stuck it to me. No way will I ever deal with them again.

Check that won\'t bounce or a postal money order are fine for payment.

    Thanks
    Bill

    khurios2000: Hi Bill

How about if i Western Union transfer the money?

    Bill,

Are you interested in cross shipment?
i really appreciate it if you can do that...

i did sent the payment in the mail last week, prolly today or tommorow you\'ll get it.

    btw heres my heatware:
    http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=23153

    regards,
    Jamie

    Bill Clo:
I\'ll be checking my mail in town this AM, so I could cross ship. I don\'t get why you\'d mail payment, and then want to send Western Union payment as well. I guess in that case I could have returned your initial payment, though.

    Bill

khurios2000: well, if you could do WU,
ill call my bank to cancel the check...

but either way, i just want to speed up the shipping process

    Bill Clo:
I just got back from being out all day. I\'ll call Giant tomorrow morning and inquire how the WU process goes, as it\'d be faster for sure.

I could then mail you back your check if you want and ship tomorrow once I picked up the money.

    Bill

khurios2000: got my check in the mail today?

    Bill Clo:
No, not yet. GOt back from out of town too late to mail it back. Wouldn\'t it have been easier and definitely faster to have sent a postal m/o? I could have shipped today (this AM when I checked mail originally) if you hadn\'t sent a check.

khurios2000: ill wait for check to clear out

    Bill Clo:
I\'m depositing the check today and will let you know when it clears and I\'m shipping.

    khurios2000: hi

any update on my q6600 shipment?

    thanks 06/03/2008 11:09 PM

    Bill Clo:
I deposited your check yesterday, and now waiting for it to clear, per my original ad\'s specification. I never ship til a check clears because if it bounces, I have basically zero recourse.

    Bill,

khurios2000:i dont want the cpu anymore,
picked up from ebay this morning.

    sorry about that.

    can you refund my money?
just send me a check if you would please

    Jamie 06/04/2008 09:06 AM

    Bill Clo:
Dude, what in the heck is wrong with you? You say you need the CPU ASAP, and then you send a check, which will require you to wait til it clears. Before it arrives you suddenly want to use Western Union to speed things up. Then the check gets here and you want me to ship before the check clears despite my ad saying very specifically you\'d have to wait til it cleared. Then when you find out that I am indeed honoring my end of the bargain and making you wait til it clears, you decide to welch out?

I\'ll send your money back ONCE THE CHECK CLEARS, and not before. I find I can\'t trust you anymore, as your behavior has become quite erratic. I will also leave appropriate heatware and other feedback.

khurios2000: so you did you already ship it out? 06/04/2008 05:45 PM

    Bill Clo:
Ship what out, the money from the check I deposited that hasn\'t cleared yet, or the CPU?

khurios2000: i still can use another quad core,
if you still want to ship it out.

    i want no problem here,
it frustrate me how this transaction going for almost 2 weeks.

    btw my check is good.
    06/04/2008 05:51 PM

    khurios2000: question for you...

why you not just cash the check at your bank, thats faster...
    06/04/2008 05:53 PM

    Bill Clo:
This whole transaction has gotten pretty surreal. For someone who wants the CPU quickly, you chose the way that\'ll make you wait the longest. The fact of the matter is you\'re acting like someone who\'s trying to pull a fast one with me, and it makes me nervous. Maybe you are, probably you aren\'t. But I cannot accept the risk that your check is good and ship a $170 CPU before it clears.

Look at it from my perspective. Guy says he wants CPU fast, sends a check and expects you to ship immediately. You don\'t want to risk it, having been ripped off before, and deposit the check, waiting til it clears so you don\'t get ripped off again. Guy then says he doesn\'t want the CPU because you\'re making him wait. Then he changes his mind again, saying he can still use it, and why don\'t you ship now?

It\'s not a matter of depositing the check and waiting for it to clear versus cashing it being faster. It\'s a matter of my taking a big risk that the check is okay. If I cash it, and it bounces later, the bank is going to take the money out of my acct, and I risk that forcing one of my checks to bounce because I didn\'t know the first check bounced.

I can still ship the CPU if you still want it, but you still have to wait til the check clears. Or if you don\'t want it anymore, fine, but you still have to wait til it clears to get the refund. I WILL refund you in this case.

khurios2000: i understand your stand point,
i was pm-ing this morning just in case you havent deposited the check.

its weird since most bank will cash the check at 12.00AM the same day, so if you did put the check in the bank yesterday, by now you already have it in your account.

im sorry if i made you upset,
please send the cpu to my address, if you would.

    thanks and have great day

    Bill Clo:
After having thought the matter over some more, I\'m just going to refund your money once the check clears, and walk away from this deal. It\'s gotten too wierd for me. I\'ll let you know when I ship your money back via Certified Mail.

    Bill

    06/05/2008 08:43 PM
khurios2000: okey whatever works with you,
as i said before im sorry.

hope you dont hold your grudge against me

    regards
    Jamie

    Bill Clo:
No grudge involved. It\'s what should have been a simple business transaction that went into the Twilight Zone. Business, nothing personal at all.

    Bill Clo:
I mailed back your money today. $180 Postal Money order via USPS Certified mail.
