Binge (77)
Cherry picked i7 920 for overclocking.
Binge was the Buyer on April 11, 2010 Other/Unknown
Mike paid in full in a deal set up by a 3rd party. After sending the CPU without the stock HSF I find that he is displeased with the lack of a stock HSF. I find this out after he issues a charge-back with his bank, and refuses to send back the working CPU. After a lot of back and forth he was sent a separate stock HSF, but he could not pay me for several days due paypal issues. Eventually I got the money back less $1.50. This was not a pleasant experience. Despite his efforts to pay me after sending him the HSF I would be reluctant to sell to him again. I would have been much happier if he would have sent back the cherry picked CPU.
::EDIT::
The response Mike has posted has its merits and truths, but this is exactly why I gave him a neutral rating. If I can\'t openly express my discomfort with the transaction then I can only see his actions as bullying. As a PC enthusiast in hobby I take a lot of pride in what I do, what I validate, and I take care of premium components. An intel LGA 1366 is not a physically weak component and would do fine shipped across the US in bubble wrap and a thick envelope. Mike is also neglecting to mention that I assured him that I did insure the processor through a 3rd party company. It is my responsibility to repay all of the fees to credit card companies, and to make sure my bank was compensated for overdrawing a checking account. It was not my decision to cause these issues with a charge-back after receiving a working component.
Response from scgt1Yet again your stating what makes you look good and not the true facts just like on TPU!
You made it an unpleasant experience on your own.
1. Using a third party to sell your item
2. Refunding the payment (which caused paypal to hold the funds) in turn you caused all your own bank problems.
3. It was less $1.50 because of paypal fees on your end. That isn\'t my problem. I was nice and sent the available funds back via gift payment the remaining $30 went back as a standard payment. The full thing should have been paid as standard goods payment just like any other transaction. Where both of us would be protected. Don\'t complain about you trying to take the chicken ___ way out and blame your short comings on me.
I originally thought I was buying this cpu which was labeled and refered to as a Retail i7 920 from Fitseries3. It was
never labeled as a bare cpu. Fitseries3 refered to it as his cpu numerous times via pm so there was no open thoughts that
it belonged to Binge. Uppon receiving the cpu. (In a padded bubble mailer with no cpu Heatsink and fan I was displeased to
say the least in the fact it wasn\'t sent as a Retail packaged cpu. Moreover with the lack of proper protection for
shipment.
I contacted Fitseries3 about it not having the HSF and was told at this time he was selling it for a friend and was unaware
that it wasn\'t going to include the stock hsf making it a full retail package.
I asked about compensation for a heatsink and was ignored. I picked up one for testing purposes to make sure the cpu even
worked and noticed he made a forsale thread again where I posted the matter again since he failed to contact me about it.
This is where I was finally pmed and told it was his friends. Although he kept refering to it as his own during this whole
sale.
He refused any form of compensation and said he can\'t make everyone happy.
My fiance contacted her bank about the matter providing all information in pms and the forum posts as well as receipts for
a cooler and the paypal transaction. They evaluated the information for 3 days then called my fiance telling her that they
can\'t do a partial refund, but can refund the full amount and she could send the difference back.
This is what we did since Fitseries wouldn\'t respond with a respectable solution. My fiance then gets the difference
refunded back from binge (whom I didn\'t even know the paypal account was his I thought the paypal address was Fitseries3)
It is then once I found out that the paypal belonged to Binge and not Fitseries3 that I started communications with Binge
about the matter. Which we resolved although he deems necessary to leave me a neutral feedback when what happened with his
bank and paypal is on his own accord due to him refunding back the payment of the difference which makes paypal hold the
funds.
This isn\'t my problem and I shouldn\'t be deemed a neutral or anything other then a positive. We made arangements and
straightened things out. This form of comment is rediculous for the amount of mess I had to go through during this matter.
I left a decent rating and feedback comment for Binge which is now changing due to his remarks against my account.
Let this be a lesson don\'t deal with third party sales and sell your own items. That way there isn\'t any question as to
what is being sold and delivered because you have control of the full situation.
If anyone has question of my reputation as a decent seller feel free to contact me for proof of this transaction and all pms and emails. I\'ll be glad to provide the real proof to these allegations anytime. I find this petty and pathetic to get a neutral or a negative due to another persons incompetence in handling business and furthermore stupidity for refunding money back that is being sent to pay for an item. Anyone whom uses paypal and has been through the claims process knows paypal freezes the funds for several days when refunds are done.
