Review for user Randy2 from greenman100

  • Sold a collection of 12 hard drives. Made an agreement before hand to refund him on $8/drive on any drives that were DOA.

He told me he wasn't in a rush, that he wouldn't be using these drives for a while. A few days after he paid me, I get a notice from PayPal that he'd made a PayPal claim for non-receipt. I told him I'd mailed them, and reminded him that he told me he wasn't in any rush.

He responds that he found 7 drives to be DOA (all drives were working when shipped) and that he wants a full refund. I told him I'd refund him $8/drive on the broken drives. At this point, I never heard back from him.

He files a paypal complaint, which decided on a full refund.

Absolutely horrible experience the whole way.

Edit: Definitely shipped with packing, in antistatic bags.

    Response from Randy2
I've been around the trading forums for some time - my heat shows it. First and foremost, be very careful dealing with this guy. He sent tracking info after 3 days, then never shipped for a week. I had to do a paypal claim to get him to respond, and he acted all bent out of shape, even though he had my money, but did not ship. I asked him to assure me no DOA in honesty, so that I wouldn't have to test each drive immediately.

This character packed 12 junk drives in a USPS Priority MEDIUM box with no packing. When they showed up without packing, dented and with bent/broken connectors - I took the time to go through each one. 7 of them were dead, the rest spun up, but who knows what damage they from the poor packaging. If you look at his recent heat, you will see a few others who bought from him and mysteriously had items that "died in shipping". He then refused to refund me, even though I would pay the way back to him.
