    i bought a new but open boxed 3770k

    There was a slight hiccup in this transaction in that I asked Bob if the cpu was "never mounted in a system at all" and Bob said yes that it never was. It actually was mounted to the motherboard as the marks on the IHS indicated. He confirmed this honestly and said the cpu was never mounted with a heatsink and that he misunderstood my question. He then offered me a refund if I was not satisfied. I'm not sure if the refund would have included the shipping back and forth cost but I didn't pursue the issue any further to find out. I got the cpu at a fair price anyways so I don't really care all that much.

    The transaction was a smooth one though and I'm confident Bob would have done the right thing if I was unsatisfied and decided to pursue the issue.
