Review for user enigmahaqr from malecoda

  • I bought a GTX560TI off of him, the card arrived promptly. However, the card was defective. I contacted him and he gave me a hard time, but offered to send me another card for $25 more. I sent the card back and messaged him. A few days went by without a word, despite logging onto the forums multiple times. He was banned from the forums at some point and never contacted me. I attempted to contact him through paypal without response. I then disputed the charge through paypal.

malecoda was the Seller on December 4, 2013 HardForum

The card spiked to 100C as soon as there was a load on it.(open air 70F inside temp) It was not mentioned in the ad. Still no word from the seller.

edit: He finally contacted me(in the form of a negative heat) after I issued a charge back and left negative heat. His review displays his traits well. I suggest you read it. Don't do business with this guy he is hostile and ignorant.

    Response from enigmahaqr
10 years on Hard forums, 10 years on heatwave, never any issues. This guy new to both claims he got a bum card, admits to altering it to attempt to fix the 'bum' card then tosses a charge back on my Paypal, first ever in 10 years on Paypal too.

Regardless on how I handled this situation understand my position. Guy receives card, guy claims he sees an issue ...which btw, i never had seen nor experiences, guy explains how he alters card in attempt to fix aforementioned issue, then demands a product return?

At the same time I loose access to hardforums for promoting a youtube channel on their site (which is against TOS); My fault on the ban for sure, but has nothing to do with this transaction, just happens to have happened at same time during this debate. So in the interim this guy does a chargeback and ships me back the altered card.

I released the funds back on Paypal to end situation, I had every right to fight and win with Paypal given the fact he claims he altered card post the completion of the transaction, but not being a complete dick, I go ahead and release funds back. Learn from this situation, buyer thinks online trading is like Walmart, seller beware! Not worth the hassle.
