Review for user Dyune from gwiz

  • I bought a M17X R2 from Danyune

gwiz was the Seller on February 6, 2014 HardForum

I would like to start this off by explaining why I am posting this evaluation so late.

I would have just left this alone, but recent previous feedback for a like item. The user had the same issue, so I felt this was just not a coincidence.

This sale happen exactly a month ago today, I am so late on the evaluation because I was giving time for Danyune to respond to my last message. Which hasn't happened and he hasn't logged in since, it's almost like he was avoiding me IMO.

Okay, so payment for the laptop was sent on the 7th of last month. Item was shipped out two to three days after payment and received about a week later. When the package arrived it was not packed very well, the laptop was thrown in some bubble wrap and the AC adapter and the manual where tossed into the box with some peanuts. It looked like it was rushed, after opening the package and powering on the laptop, it was making a weird grinding fan noise, which I assumed was from shipping In the poor packaging and not something that was pre existing unless he just left that out.
Second the description of the laptop before sale from him was "very good" and what I received was not that. He never mentioned the wear of the chassis lid or the chips/divots on the glass screen. Also I was told that there was a bag to be included, it was not... not that big of a deal but it could have been shipped in that and helped with the shipping issues.

I sent him a message regarding this iissues and told him that I was not happy with what I received, and was told he knew nothing of the chips or divots on the glass and that they were just small scratches that I was over exaggerating it, also said he never said there was a case included, the last message I sent included a quote from the PM thread Showing That He Did Say this, no response was received. The fan issue could be an easy fix and I was not to worried about that.

The purpose for buying this laptop was for school and I needed a laptop that could run all needed software, decently smooth. I had previously owned an R2, a month before this sale it was stolen from my car on campus, I was just trying to replace what I had.

I told him in the last message that was never responded to, that it was already to late for me to send the laptop back. The new semester had started and I didn't have the time to locate another R2, and make a deal. I told him that I would just keep it and I was hoping for a little bit of money back for the condition issues.

    No response.

I feel like I have been reasonable and waited a decent amount of time. I do not take leaving negative feedback lightly.

    Response from Dyune
First off, I chose not to respond to him anymore because I offered a full refund if he sends the laptop back, but he decided not to do that.

One day, literally one day after I shipped the item, he submitted a paypal claim that I did not ship the said laptop. It showed up on tracking and he kept the dispute open only to never close it. He started making up excuses to try to get money and keep the laptop, just like the previous buyer.

I don't know why people like this guy try to do these simple scams. There is a reason I always will pay extra for Delivery Confirmation just incase there are bad apples like this guy.

He has never tried to resolve issues with me and kept saying "Oh but the laptop has this, and now this, and now this, oh and now this" and the trend continues, so I decided to just escalate the paypal claim with the tracking #, as well as a picture of the shipment receipt so I could get my money back. I obviously won the paypal dispute since this guy is an amateur scammer.
