Review for user taxiwarez from Scarlet_tech

  • Sent money for an ASUS Maximus VII Gene, was told that had been sold although there was an agreement that money would be sent asap. Sent money for a z97-pro WiFi, that never shipped. *update below*

Scarlet_tech was the Seller on April 6, 2015 EVGA

Great communication initially when terms were being discussed for Maximus VII Gene. PayPal had double charged me and I was waiting for a refund, and once it came through, I verified the item was still showing for sale in the thread, and sent the money. I received an email shortly after explaining that the board had been sold to someone else, although is still shows for sale at the moment this is being drafted.

We came to an agreement on a z97-pro WiFi for slightly more. I sent the extra money and waited. A few days later, I requested an update on shipping. Was told that (on Saturday) the "I had to go on vacation, and Wednesday and Thursday it rained and I didn't want to get the boxes wet. I will have mum pick them up tomorrow and ship them. That was 7 days ago. There has been no updates, and I can see the user has been online after I sent requests for status updates multiple times over the last week. Communication is null, although I have sent messages through EVGA PM, email and now I am filing a complaint for a refund through PayPal.

I wish the user would have provided at least an update as to what was happening so that I would have an idea if there was an issue.

*Edit on 1 May 2015* taxiware has made contact and refunds were issued through paypal/Google wallet. Taxi did try to find a middle ground and see if there were any other items that I could use, since in his absence, I ordered another motherboard, but PayPal settled the dispute and issued a refund before another item could be agreed upon.

I have changed the rating from negative to neutral, as life events did have an impact on delivery. There were many frustrated people, as taxi mentions below, so I can not fully call it a positive experience all around. Hopefully things in the future will work smoother and shipments verified when they are supposed to go out.
