Review for user puma1824 from Fastball

  • Attempted to purchase a Voodoo5 5500.

Fastball was the Seller on May 24, 2001 AnandTech

Since my deal with this trader, I have been monitoring his posts on Anandtech and apparently he does a lot of trading, rather than buying or selling. Here's the problem - he tries to sell the merchandise that he's trading for before he actually makes the trade or has the merchandise in hand. Apparently, he wants to ensure that he can move the item before he trades for it. NOT GOOD TRADING PRACTICES. Ron and I made a deal for the Voodoo5 that I needed for a system that I was putting tothether for a friend. I explained to him that I needed the card by a certain date and even offered to pay for Second-day Air to make certain that I would have it on time. He said it would not be a problem. Well, the date came and went and I never heard from Ron, nor received a video card. He put me in a bad situation. I had to purchase a card locally at BestBuy and pay three times what it's worth, and I had to eat the additional cost. I think Ron's intentions are good; however, this is bad trading and exactly why Anandtech does not allow this in their forum.
