Sold an EVGA RTX 3060 XC Gaming (KR)

Sold Rewted my RTX 3060 XC (KR) that's been in a HTPC for the past 6 months. He paid the evening of 8/23, so I handed it to UPS the first thing the following morning 8/24. He later contacted me (before it was delivered) stating he no longer wanted the card because he scored 2x RTX 3060 Ti instead and asked if I would take it back. I declined to take the return so he stated he'd resell it, but told me he was hoping for "an easy way out." He also expressed disappointment because UPS originally had the delivery scheduled for Friday 8/27, but the delivery was delayed 1 business day, which was Monday 8/30. This is likely due to flight cancellations caused by Hurricanes Henri and Ida in late August, which impacted every major courier in the US.
When the 3060 XC arrived, he stated it had issues with audio dropping out on YouTube. I suggested a few troubleshooting steps and he quickly responded that he "done all that." I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to send it back for a refund.
When the RTX 3060 XC returned to me it was still in the same perfect condition so I began testing, but couldn't replicate his issue. It's been installed in the HTPC and now my wife's daily driver PC (3 separate PCs from 2 different homes with completely different hardware and I/O) for the past 11+ days and it's still performing perfectly. I feel this is a clear indicator that there was an environmental issue on his end and a little more due diligence on his part should have resolved this, hence the neutral review. I refunded him within 5 minutes of FedEx handing the box to me, but it took PayPal and/or his bank the full 5 business days (about 8 calendar days) to refund him. He expressed his concern about the refund several times, so I kept referring him to PayPal's refund timelines (3-5 business days, or up to 30 days for debit/credit cards).
I'm kind of expecting him to respond to this review emphasizing the UPS delivery delay caused by the storms and maybe his disappointment with PayPal taking the full 5 business days to process his refund. Please realize that this is out of my control and/or within their established service level agreement.
We're now both back where we started, just minus our time and shipping costs.
Response from rewtedI wasn't going to respond to this 'neutral' review that hasnegative connotations all over it, but alas since the poster is a brick wall who doesn't like to discuss things, I will now respond publicly in my defense.
The general timeline and facts are somewhat accurate, but casts doubt on my ability to diagnose and resolve the technical issues at hand if they were on my side, and they weren't, and makes it look like I was 'getting around' his initial refusal to take the card back when I requested it, as yes I had scored 2 other GPU's and didn't need that one anymore, which by the way I was totally OK with and moved on without argument / planned to resell it and move on, but when it had true and actual issues that didn't show up on things like Furmark, I brought to his attention.
When you take the card and run it on fresh windows installs, fresh driver installs on basically brand new but tested hardware and are getting video AND audio glitches on your system on rudamentary tasks such as playing youtube videos, it becomes clear that there is an issue with the card.
2 different monitors, 2 different sets of speakers, 2 different cpu's, motherboards, sets of ram, nvme's, power supplies, etc. and the card fails to function correctly in either of them, on separate benches plugged into separate power sources... it becomes clear where the problem lies, and it's not with me.
Additionally, this apparent annoyance on the shipping was just an offhand quip in a message to him, not an accusation of anything because yeah, weather happens. The refund thing, again, wasn't an accusation but rather an inquiry into what he saw on his end re: refund as I wasn't getting ANY data on the refund from paypal.
This seller is very clearly a "my way or the highway" / "I can't possibly be wrong" rigid type that doesn't actually understand that "**** happens" and is very good at creating negative sub-text while calling it "neutral".September 14, 2021
