  • The original trade was his $250+Dell 1905FP for my Sony VAIO PCG-FXA63 + Accessories (laptop bag, wireless NIC, etc). He was to ship/pay first due to low feedback.

    Cross-traded on March 6, 2005 AnandTech

There were some shipping delays on his end, but I did eventually get the LCD in a well packaged box. The LCD received was a Dell 1901FP with a poorly modified stand from a 15" dell LCD. I contact Joe immediately and explained what I received and offered to send it back to him or to continue with the trade for $125 (for the much lower quality of hte display and to provide allowance for purchasing a proper replacement stand). Joe opted to pay the extra sum (he actually sent $145 more for a total of $395), with the unrequested $20 as a monetary apology for the situation. I sent the laptop after a few days well packaged with adult signature required/insurance. He received the laptop and other than a concern about the battery life indicated the laptop was more than satisfactory. A week later he contacted me with concerns about the battery and a keyboard key that had broken during his use. He wanted to trade back. I explained that I could not trade back because he had already acknowledged receipt and approval of the laptop and that I had moved forward with into a position where it was no longer a simple matter of trading back (having purchased a replacement stand and with the keyboard now broken on the laptop). I offered to settle for the price of a new battery on ebay for the laptop of $50. He accepted the terms, left me positive heatware, and sent an email that I quote as saying "
I joseph agree that upon recieveing the Fifty Dollars and zero cents
neither the seller nor his girlfriend owe me anything in the future and
the transaction between the two of us is final. Joe"

There were some bumps along the road. I believe Joe has the makings of a good trader. He did not make any ridiculous requests and accepted reasonable terms when we encountered bumps in the road.

I firmly believe it is not wether you have problems in the trade that determines what kind of trader you are, but rather how you deal with them. Joe handled the problems very well, so I am giving him a positive review to indicate that I am definitely willing to trade with him again (and think you should be as well!).

    Thanks again, Joe.

  • He picked up a bulk of 10 128mb PC133 CL3 single sided sticks I had leftover from upgrades.

TechnoButt was the Seller on October 20, 2005 AnandTech

He paid, I shipped. There was a bit of drama with the shipping as UPS left it at a side door without a signature. We almost file for insurance claim, but luckily some extra effort on Rob's part and the package turned up. He's a good trader and I'd work with him any time. Excellent communication.

  • The story: ordered online a Memory Stick Duo card and a Duo Adapter together. They ship separately. The Duo Adapter arrives before the Memory Stick Duo card. I open it. Memory Stick Duo arrives and it includes the frikkin\' adapter! The adapter is open so I can\'t return it, but it\'s never been used. Includes the cardboard backing, manual, and the plastic sleeve case for the adpater. Sony brand. Model number MSAC-M2. FYI, this enables Memory Stick Duo cards to be used in regular Memory Stick or Memory Stick Pro slots.

  • I bought his Dell 2405fpw w/3yr warranty through Dell SB on [H]ardforums.

TechnoButt was the Buyer on December 13, 2005 Other/Unknown

Bryce was easy to deal with. He was willing to ship first and wanted payment through USPS Money Order. He shipped immediately. I got the monitor and tested for 24 hours, was satisfied, and put his USPS MO in the mail priority with DC. He had accidentally given me his parents address and was wigged when the money order didn\'t arrive at his place, but it all worked out. Luckily there was no drama getting the money order from his parents. He shipped first and left heat first and there was never a problem reaching him or other than the slight mishap with addressing for the payment was there any issue at all in the transaction. Good trader. Reliable and trusthworthy. I\'d gladly buy from him again!

He didn\'t complain about my delays and was satisfied with the trade. Good trader, I\'d gladly work with his patience and great communication again! A+
