  • I sold him an ATI HDTV Wonder retail kit.

TechnoButt was the Seller on July 17, 2005 AnandTech

He paid first. I shipped using fedex ground in the original retail packaging (the odd triangular package) at the advice of my fedex CSR. It turns out that they will stand behind damage claims if you ship in the retail package reboxed, as well. I should have done that and I didn't, and the tight packaging took a bit of a crunch and the board lost a capacitor.

Norman notified me immediately of the damage and even kept up with the capacitor that came off the board. He reboxed my original packaging to preserve the condition so I could file a shipping claim. I reimbursed him his original amount and the cost of the return shipping/packaging immediately when he supplied the total (after shipping).

He worked with me and fedex to resolve the claim. I ended up getting the cost of the card + one way shipping back (although it took almost 7 weeks from the date of original shipment).

In the end, everyone is taken care of. Norman was a pleasure to deal with and kept a very cool head and worked through the return process and assisted me with the damage claim with fedex. I look forward to future deals and will learn from this, my first shipping damage, to help better package in the future.

A+ trader! I'd recommend him to anyone. Like I always say, it's not wether or not a deal goes south, it's how you deal with it when it does that determines what kind of trader you are. Norman is the best kind!

  • Traded his XP-90 Heatsink for my WinTV-Go (bare card) and some extras.

    Cross-traded on August 3, 2005 AnandTech

Before I could even agree to the trade he had the heatsink at my door, delivered and packaged perfectly in mfg's packaging. I felt so bad I had to rummage for more things and repacked his shipment with some extras. AS soon as the items cleared the time warp between NC and WI (by way of Neptune), he was prompt to let me know they arrived and exchange feedback. Once again he proves to be a stellar trader!

  • My PC133 sticks for his PC3200 sticks.

    Cross-traded on July 16, 2006 AnandTech

Easy transaction. Only hiccup was one of the sticks I sent him failed memtest, so I sent him a replacement. Good trader, good communication, I\'d gladly work with him again (and so should you).

    July 17, 2006

  • I traded him $70 and a Pioneer XM unit + magnetic antenna for a JL Audio 10W3-D4 sub.

    Cross-traded on July 11, 2005 AnandTech

We cross shipped. Great communication. Sub arrived in factory equivalent packaging and seems to have travelled well. It's firing ok with my amp in a box in my truck, so I'm satisfied. There's a slight delay in testing the XM, but we're trading heat now assuming everything is ok. Good trader. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again, in fact, I look forward to it. :)

TechnoButt was the Buyer on September 19, 2005 AnandTech

I paid. He shipped promptly as agreed. Unit looks good. My NF4 can't support it (PCI-e gets in the way), so I'll test it when I get another board (or sell it). He's a good trader and honest, don't fret about buying/trading with him.

    September 20, 2005

  • He sold me a P4P800-E Deluxe motherboard.

TechnoButt was the Seller on February 17, 2005 AnandTech

He shipped immediately as promised. Only hiccup was that he forgot to include I/O Shield in the original package, but he realized immediately and shipped out the I/O shield the very next day (so fast, in fact, that it almost arrived before the mobo). Motherboard seems to be in perfect condition in original box with most of the accessories. Very good communication. Rapid shipment. Decent packaging. I cannot complain at all about this transaction. I would not hesitate to recommend this trader for business with anyone (he takes care of his equipment and his customers). A+

  • Xbox360 exchanged for HTPC rig

    Cross-traded on April 7, 2007 AnandTech

He shipped first. I received the package a bit quicker than I expected, and well packaged. I didn\'t get to test and return ship for a few days after receipt, and he was patient about it. Once he received the htpc he had a few questions and technical issues arose. He agreed that it was the video card and returned in exchange for a refund on the value of the video card, but the rest of the trade was ok.

Results: Good trader, good communication, very decent packaging, fairly easy to work with when things go awry. I\'d definitely trade with him again and would recommend him to anyone else looking for an easy reliable trader.

Only hangup was a couple of items left out of the PSP package, which he promptly agreed to package and ship. They arrive a week or so later. Great trader, Solid trade experience. He\'s one of the few traders in Canada that I\'ll gladly work with again.
