compuwiz1 (342)
3 different orders from him over the last several months.
Daaavo was the Buyer on February 2, 2001 AnandTech
Ok, here comes both barrels:
1) The first thing I bought from Compuwiz1 was a Slot-1 PIII 800 which he said did not overclock in August of 2000. It was a killer deal and included a golden orb heatsink/fan. He shipped it on time and when I received it I immediately went to work seeing what this CPU could do. I wound up getting 960MHz out it, which I thought was killer for a cpu that ‘didn't overclock'.
2) The second thing I bought from Compuwiz1 was 512megs of his so-called CL3 memory. When I first read his message on AnandTech I thought for sure that he had either listed the wrong price or the price was for 128meg sticks, not 256. So I fire off a PM to him and he immediately says "Yes, 256mb of Infineon sticks. $119". Simply amazing. So I order 512megs of the stuff and again he ships immediately. When I receive it 2 days later, I put it in my machine and run the hell out of it. Runs GREAT at 120MHz FSB 2-2-2, but my CPU won't go any higher without locking hard. So here comes purchase number 3.
3) A slot-1 cCO PIII 700E@a gig at supposedly 1.85v.So I pull the PIII800 I purchased from him previously, and put the 700E in and crank it up to 144MHz at default voltage...NO PROBLEMS! Runs Q3A, UT, NOLF and Sacrifice at DEFAULT voltage all day long. So I tried Prime95 and 3dMark looped, still it runs non-stop, error free for 12+ hours on end.Not only that but the CL3 memory I bought from him earlier is running at CL2 at 144MHz!!!
Not only is Steve quick in returning any and all PM's but he is an all around nice guy. I've recommended him to the guys at work and several of them have ordered from him and received the same treatment. I would order from him again without reservation and would encourage others to do the same.
Two thumbs, way up, for Compwiz1!!!!!February 2, 2001
