Recieved payment ( check ), deposited payment ( check ) ASAP, bank called, told me the check bounced, charged me a 5$ fee.
Talked to Refact, had a long discussion, told me he wouldn't pay back the money that he owed me, and told me he would rather just ship me back the cpu, i was furious at first, but said fine.
recieved the cpu with the 5$ processing fee the bank charged me because of his bounced check.
would be hesitant to do business with.
ladies and gentlemen, make sure you only accept MO's or Paypal, I wouldn't take a check from this person.
Response from RefactMade me a guarentee to get 3.0ghz on my it7max2 (he has a BH7, the it7 = better). it would not reach even 2.7 ghz prime stable. he would not let me return it, so i said fine. then, since i lost $1.5K about 5 days after the check got to him (some guy fruadulently stole it from my safe). i basically had to change my account because i had my checks and stuff in it. before this i thought he cashed and cleared the check wayyy before, and i assumed he did because most of the people who buy from me do. but anyway i found out he didnt clear it until about 1 week after i changed my checking account, and he got on my case about his bounced check. he asked me for the money back, and i told him why dont i just send the processor back, because the deal had been already fubared by his lies about the guarntee and the way he packed the processor, in just a junk newegg box that had no packing penuts, bubble wrap, or anything, just the p4 box. he accepted the cpu back after i nagged him for a bit, and he said he would not leave me any negatory heat/comments. obviously he did, why? because he wanted to get revenge. and also he promised me before i returned the proccesor back that he would send the ORIGINAL BOUNCED CHECK back to me so i could put it in my bank for records (i filed it with my bank and they paid me $5 to give to this guy when he had to pay the fee for the bounced check, because it was the banks fault). now, after leaving his mark, he declines to send the check back and i might have to pay the $5 if i dont get things resolved with him. his cocky attitude, lies, and arrogance make him a bad trader to contact. and his shipping procedures are horrible. because of his attitude, this was a bad transaction from the start. would deeply hesitate to work with this guy again.June 15, 2003

[H] sold him a dead athlon t bird. USPS was exceedingly slow on both ends of the deal. The MO took about a week to arrive and the processor took about the same ammount of time or longer to reach him. Both parties were very understandable and trustworthy throughout the sitiuation.

made the mistake of shipping via ground from Hawaii. the package took 3+ weeks to arrive. but it did arrive, and everything is in good condition. kept in contact throughout the time. nice guy. can't entirely blame him for the delay, its those slow a$$ PO people i'm pissed at. anyway i'd deal with him in the future, just no more ground shipping :)
