When I got the card, it was behaving unpleasantly in my system. For several days we talked regularly and tried numerous approaches to get the card stable in my system, but it just wasn't happening. We're not sure if it's the card or an incompatibility, but suspect an incompatibility.

Through it all communication was *magnificent*, and even though I am shipping the card back I am very grateful to have met this fine new trader. His communication was superlative, and should be an example to all traders at all forums. He was helpful and courteous at all times, and I have nothing but the utmost of respect for him. I will DEFINITELY jump on any deals we can do together in the future, and be more than happy and comfortable to pay in advance even, which is something I *never* do for folks with less than 40 heat.

Traded a Courier V Everything Modem for a Samsung DVD Player

My box was crunched by the postal service when Mike got it, so I told him to hang on to it and test it before sending the DVD player; Mike was in the middle of moving and couldn't test it right away, and after a shortwhile he sent the DVD anyway, without testing the modem. Fortunately the modem DID work when he got the chance to test it, but he took a big chance and I really appreciate it. Mike is a great guy to deal with, and I will always welcome the chance to trade with him and recommend him highly to anyone else.

Bought a Modded Geforce card from Shawn during the holiday rush

I got the card from Shawn, in a plastic zip lock bag with Arctic Silver all over the place. I didn't think too much of it, given that usually thermal pastes are non conductive, and sat the card aside until I could find time to test it. I found time finalyl in early February and was dismayed that it had lines and odd characters all over the screen. I popped off the RAM sinks to find that under them, and even under the RAM chips, was SOAKED with Arctic Silver. I cleaned it off as best I could, and it seemed to work normally after that. This lasted about a week and a half to two weeks, then it started getting bad again and nothing I could do would fix the card. I spoke to the person who sold Shawn the card and he was surprised to hear about it, plus surprised to hear how much SHawn charged me over his purchase price, though that didn't dismay me, since I respect people making a profit.
I explained the situation to Shawn and basically said that it was obvious the card had been a bum card since I received it from him and that although I wouldn't demand a refund since it took me awhile to test the card out, I hoped that we could work something out where I could either get a partial refund or maybe swap the dead card for a live one, something of that nature. What I got was an, "Oh well, you're on your own because you didn't have time to test it sooner." Of course it is true, I should have tested it sooner, but I find it disheartening that Shawn wasn't willing to even consider helping me out, given how much he had made off of me on the card which was obviously no good.
Suffice to say I've learned 2 things

Traded some cash and a PSX rig from another trade to Mike for a 7200RPM hard drive nad some RAM. Mike shipped immediately and I received the items straight away!
