  • 1 Dual PIII server (so long ago I have no idea which forum)

nshank was the Buyer on November 30, 2003 Other/Unknown

I received the money and shipped the server. After a year the buyer contacts me stationg he never received the server and wants his money back. This was AFTER A YEAR. I will send another server but if he truely never received it he should have contacted me sooner.

    Response from nshank
Let me 'splain this a bit better. The first time, I never recieved a tracking #. He said he shipped it. Ok, well, if it was sent to the wrong address, my bad, I can live w/ that I suspose. I've asked for some kind of confirmation that it was shipped, recieved none. After a while, email's started bouncing, and the two or three letters that I had written to the address I sent the money to were marked return to sender...
As of late, I have been given 2 DHL tracking #'s. And after rather lengthly conversations with DHL, I have come to find that both of them are effectivly bogus.
But why do I want my money back if he's sent the item? I've seen no proof of shipping. Have recieved nothing but empty promises. And, well, a dual P3 750 server just isn't worth $400 anymore, even if it is a 1U. Computers depreciate. Money doesn't (well, $ vs. $ doesn't, that I know of)
Think I'm making this up? Have questions for me? Want to know more? The n ask. I'm happy to share...

nshank was the Seller on March 9, 2007 ArsTechnica

Prompt shipping out, but package was not picked up due to external reasons. Nick gladly refunded shipping and was dedicated in getting the system to me.

    Everything works great.

    Thanks.
