  • A Couple of DVDs

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on October 24, 2002 ArsTechnica

Transaction was smooth. He kept quick, friendly email communication and shipped fast. Packing was done well with a box instead of the padded envelopes some people use for DVDs. :)

  • A pair of 18.2GB IBM 36LZX U160 HDDs

Longtime Lurker was the Seller on December 17, 2001 ArsTechnica

Mikendi was really easy to work with. His email replies were fast and he actually communicated unlike so many others lately that seem to have no understanding of how to respond in a comprehensible manner. I'd deal with Mikendi again with pleasure, he was exactly what you want in a buyer. I cannot rate him as a seller of course, but I'd certainly be willing to try him out as I suspect his products would be on par with his service.

  • 3 sets of Book/CDROM Training Programs valued at around $75 on Amazon

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on December 19, 2001 ArsTechnica

BinaryJono was a pleasure to work with. His emails were fast and intelligible, he kept in communication throughout the process, and he cut me a great deal on combined shipping. The products arrived in brand new condition, still sealed in shrinkwrap just as he had advertised. I would not hesitate to buy something from BinaryJono again. Makes me want to sign up for an account at his FocalHosting.com business. :)

  • Creative 6X DVDROM

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on December 17, 2001 ArsTechnica

2engels showed great fair trading practice by giving someone with dibs on the drive plenty of time to follow through. When they left him high and dry, the drive fell to me and I gladly purchased it. Shipment was done quick and item received was in near mint condition.

  • 3 DVDs

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on December 20, 2001 ArsTechnica

An easy trade because Banal kept good communication and shipped quick. Priority Mail was even used when all I paid for was Media Mail. The DVDs were in great shape, as described. I would trade with him again.

  • P4/2.53GHz

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on October 3, 2002 ArsTechnica

My fourth trade with ScoobyD00, that should tell you something right there. Great prices, fast shipping, outstanding email communication. I haven''t found a better trader, one of Agora's best.

  • P4/2.4GHz (C-Stepping) + 8X CDROM + S3 Trio PCI Video Card

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on October 25, 2002 ArsTechnica

My fifth trade with ScoobyD00! Bought a 2.4GHz P4 (with C-stepping this time) and he threw in for no cost an 8X CDROM and PCI vid card I was in need of for a basic system. Packed well, shipped fast, great price, what more do you want?

  • Ten DVDs (filler filler filler)

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on September 12, 2005 ArsTechnica

Morrie20 was an excellent and fair trader. Someone called dibs on one of the DVDs I wanted before I made the offer for all ten. Morrie20 kept the transaction fair by giving the first dibber first rights to that DVD. In the end I received exactly what I expected in terms of quality and at a price that was great. I wouldn\\\'t hesitate to trade with Morrie20 again.

  • Released Dibs on Item He Wanted

    Cross-traded on September 11, 2005 ArsTechnica

antidumb.com had dibs one of ten DVDs that Morrie20 was selling. I misunderstood Morrie20\'s intent when he stated his desire was to sell all ten and preference would go to anyone buying all of them...I offered to buy all ten. Morrie20 explained antidumb.com already had dibs on the one. I completely agreed and backed away hoping antidumb might change his mind. When antidumb learned Morrie20 had a buyer for all ten, he released his dibs even though he wanted the DVD. I consider that practically valiant in the sometimes cutthroat world of online trading, definitely worth a positive review.

  • 4X CDROM and ISA Video Card

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on October 25, 2002 ArsTechnica

I posted on the boards looking for a cheap, slow CDROM for a basic system. hans_shaffer had one and offered it for a cheap price which I accepted. He then saw an update to my post looking for an old, cheap video card and offered to throw in an ISA one he had for free! I again accepted. :)

He shipped the items out right away and packed them well. I sent a Money Order at the same time. Both arrived in a timely fashion.

Unfortunately the shipping cost for the CDROM and video card turned out to be way more than either of us expected even though we've both done over 100 online deals each. What was amazing is that instead of not shipping when he found out how much it was going to cost him, he went ahead and finished the deal as originally set! That is the mark of an outstanding trader, an asset to Agora and the Ars community.

  • About 20 CDs for $50.

Longtime Lurker was the Buyer on October 23, 2005 ArsTechnica

Four years ago I said I wouldn't hesitate to trade with pcmark again and when the opportunity finally rose up again, I held true to my word and didn't hesitate a second. pcmark is a great fair and responsible trader who actually outclassed me in terms of communication during this deal (meaning I was borderline negligent in such matters, but pcmark put forth an extra effort to ensure the trade went smoothly). I hope to trade with him again.
