I had a WTB thread up on the Agora looking for some 256mb sticks of low-density SDRam & Robert posted that he had one. We arranged the details by email with Roberts being prompt & pleasant. Robert mentioned that he had some un-tested SDRam he could send with the 256mb stick at no additional cost. I PayPal?ÇÖd & Robert shipped Priority. I received his package in short order & I found Robert had included two 128mb & two 64mb low-density sticks in addition to the 256mb stick. I tested all 5 & they were all in working condition. Thanks Robert!

I had a WTB thread up on the Agora looking for a 512mb PC133 soDIMM, Ian replied offering a 512mb stick from a failed Omnibook. He threw in an untested 256mb stick as well. He even offered to RMA the 512mb stick, as he was unable to test it. We discussed the trade via email, with Ian?ÇÖs being prompt & pleasant. We cross-shipped, I sent a cashier?ÇÖs check & Ian sent the RAM Certified Mail. The RAM tested perfectly under Memtest86, including the 256mb stick.

Dan had a thread up on the Agora with a Dell Latitude C610 for sale. I posted interest & we negotiated by email with Dan?ÇÖs being prompt & pleasant. Dan answered my many questions (buying a used laptop requires due diligence on the part of the buyer) & provided several pictures. We came to terms agreeing to cross-ship, with me sending a cashier?ÇÖs check & Dan shipping the laptop FedEx Express Saver. I received the laptop in short order & it was packed beautifully in a FedEx ?Ç£laptop box?Ç¥. I highly recommend this shipping method, as it is very well protected & cushioned.
TangleWeb was the Buyer on April 22, 2006 ArsTechnica
The laptop was if anything, even better than described. It was very clean, in perfect working order & very good cosmetic condition. It is worth mentioning that the small blemish on the screen that Dan was careful to point out, was almost unnoticeable.
Dan?ÇÖs attention to detail assured a very smooth trade. I would be happy to trade with him again any time.

I had a thread in the Agora looking for some older laptop RAM & Norman posted that he had some. We negotiated by mail & Norman found 4 more sticks that I could use, so we made a deal for all 6 sticks. Payment was in two stages, as Norman found more RAM. had a thread up on the Agora recently looking to complete my collection of Isaac Asimov books & long after the thread had dropped off page 1, Les messaged me that he\'d found a duplicate copy at a rummage sale. He asked if I wanted it & when I indicated that I did he shipped it to me media mail.
TangleWeb was the Buyer on August 13, 2008 ArsTechnica
This was a very nice gesture on Les\'s part & much appreciated. This sort of thing is what makes the Agora a ?Ç£community?Ç¥, not just a classifieds forum.
