  • Another smooth Agora trade with Mike. I needed a largish hard drive & Mike had a 320GB that was just what I needed. We cross-shipped with me sending a bank cashier\'s check & Mike shipping the drive USPS Priority.

The drive arrived well packaged & in very good condition.

Excellent communication, quick shipping; a smooth trade all \'round. I wouldn\'t hesitate to trade with Mike again.

  • I needed a motherboard to replace a failed board in a system that had given me quite a bit of trouble & Doug offered to send out a suitable replacement for little more than the cost of shipping. Communication over Christmas was prompt & very pleasant. I sent out a money order; there was a slight delay in shipping because of the holidays, but I received the stuff in time to complete the project in the time required.

TangleWeb was the Buyer on January 13, 2005 ArsTechnica

** 20 lashes to me for the delay in posting this well deserved feedback :-)

This is actually me second deal with Doug, I sent him an old overdrive processor for an interesting ?Ç£XP on old hardware?Ç¥ project.

I would be happy to trade with Doug again any time.

  • I purchased several things from Shantanu; a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop with all accys, a nice set of Klipsch speakers, a 16mb PCI video card, a hard drive, memory, etc. Communication was prompt, detailed & pleasant throughout. We spoke by phone several times working out the details. Shantanu shipped the first part including everything except the laptop & accys, and then I sent a Bank Cashier's Check for the total. We were both concerned that the laptop be packaged adequately for shipping, so I sent him 2 custom Dell shipping boxes since I had them available from work. The laptop arrived & was packed so neatly, you would have thought it was a new laptop! Shantanu even include a REALY nice Dell branded leather laptop case that wasn?ÇÖt even part of the deal. That was a nice touch!

TangleWeb was the Buyer on May 11, 2003 ArsTechnica

This has to be one of the best & smoothest deals to date & I have had a bunch of good ones! I would not hesitate to trade with Shantanu again & recommend him highly to other traders.

Jamie responded to my WTB thread on ARS\\Agora. Very good communication. I paid with PayPal e-Check & Jamie shipped before funds even cleared. Very nice of him since I was still pretty much a \"Newbie\" on Agora. He must have shipped it about 5 minutes after we reached agreement, because I received the mobo & CPU US Priority mail 2 days later. It was very well packaged. I would not hesitate to do business with Jamie again. Great Trader!

  • Robbie posted to my WTB thread on 11/24/02 offering 2 sticks of RAM. We reached an agreement & I sent a Postal Money Order first (11/25/02) even though Robbie is a relatively new trader since he didn't have the money to ship prior to receiving my payment. He e-mailed advising he had received my MO on Monday 12/04/02 stating he would ship it Thursday or Friday 12/7-8/02. I received the RAM adequately packaged on 12/12/02.

TangleWeb was the Buyer on December 11, 2002 ArsTechnica

There was slightly more delay in shipping than there should have been, but I would trade with Robbie again.

  • Daniel had a WTT thread up looking for a Sound Blaster sound card. I wasn't quick enough & he purchased it from another trader. I needed the PC133 RAM & Yamaha CD-RW drive he had listed for trade, so I offered to purchase them. This made it like a 3-way trade :-) Daniel was willing to wait for funds as I had to wait till a guy paid me & once I PayPal'd he shipped. He even bumped the shipping to priority Insured with Delivery Confirmation at no additional cost due to a very slight delay on his end.

TangleWeb was the Buyer on January 9, 2004 ArsTechnica

Communication was prompt, detailed & pleasant. Packaging was excellent. I would trade with Daniel again anytime.

    Recommended trader.

  • I am just a little "delinquent" in posting this feedback! Anyway, I was having difficulty cooling a problem Athlon system, so posted a WTB thread looking for ?Ç£better than stock?Ç¥ cooling. Matt offered a PAL 8045 at a very reasonable price & even agreed to lap it for me. I PayPal?ÇÖd & Matt shipped. I had the heat sink in very short order & it was extremely well packaged! As he promised it was lapped down to 1000 wet & wrapped in Saran Wrap.

  • Kendall had a FS thread up on the Agora with an older system with an OEM copy of Windows XP for sale. I replied & we corresponded by email to finalize the trade details. Kendall was willing to run some tests I requested (Prime95 & Memtest86) & visually inspect the motherboard for swollen caps. He installed a modem at my request as well. I sent PayPal & Kendall shipped. The package arrived in short order & the system was very well packed. When I powered it on, I found that not only had he installed Windows as agreed, he had applied all Windows updates & installed several necessary programs as well.

TangleWeb was the Buyer on March 17, 2007 ArsTechnica

TangleWeb was the Buyer on July 14, 2009 ArsTechnica

The packing job on the computer was excellent, it was in very good condition & communication was excellent.
