When I popped in and asked if he would hold it until I could procure the funds for the combo, he accepted my request. I had approached Vega showing interest in a premodded ASUS VG248QE with the anti-glare coating removed (for use as a seocndary screen). Unfortunately though the monitor had already been sold. Instead, Vega offered to modify my current VG248QE for a very reasonable fee of $99 + round trip shipping. It was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Vega is a very reputable user on Hardforum and many other tech sites. With that said, I never had any doubt about his legitimacy. I sent him the fee and shipped the monitor out right away. He had it about two days later on Wednesday. He informed me that he would wait until the weekend to perform the mod which is completely understandable.
The mod was done Saturday and he had it shipped back out by Monday. It just arrived at my doorstep here again on Wednesday. The removed AG coating really does make a difference!

It was a simple, hassle-free process and to anyone thinking about having their ASUS VG248QE AG coating removed should definitely have a talk with Vega. He has received my uttermost recommendation!

At first arrival, system would not POST. After working with t_ski, who was very helpful, we discovered that the ram that was included was incompatible with the motherboard. I threw in a few sticks that I had laying around and the system is up and running now. The ram is a non-issue because I have plenty of other systems that can use the included ram.

T_ski was quick to give support when I needed it and was active in helping me solve the problem. Unlike some others who cut off communication completely after the transaction, he was willing to work with me after the fact and cared about helping me get the system to run.

This is much better than putting my hand into the proverbial e-tailer grab bag and pulling out something with a low multi wall or something that needs insane volts to get anywhere near 5ghz. This chip will be paired with an Asus P8Z68 Deluxe and Thermalright Silver Arrow (when it arrives). I very much look forward to seeing what this chip has got in it. I came into this deal knowing I wouldn't be able to pay the entire thing off at once. I asked if I could split the payment into two parts, one paid at the deal arrangements and the other paid the week after. He agreed and we went through with the deal. I paid $150 as a down payment on May 18 and completed the rest of the payment on May 25. I'm happy that he showed enough trust in me to allow me to divide the payments. I will definitely be on the lookout for any wares this user might sell in the future.

The package was sent out on 4/27 and "arrived" on 5/1 to somebody's house somewhere. The FedEx driver left the package at someone else's house and despite our attempts to contact FedEx and the driver to locate the package, no effort has been given on their part to retrieve it for us. It's been over a week and it's looking like the package has been lost for good.

Throughout this ordeal, Deus Falsus has been extremely helpful and communicative and genuinely cares about what happened. Even though the mistake was clearly not his fault, he has elected to give me a full refund. He is one of the best sellers I've had the pleasure of dealing with. It's a shame that such a good deal had to be ruined by FedEx.

I look forward to doing business with him again in the future.
