n-ster (22)
Posted a request to buy $28 worth of bitcoins via paypal in the marketplace forum at www.bitcoin.org. There was an issue with paypal charging him a fee the first time I tried to send payment, as well as the issue of paypal allowing chargebacks on some types of payments while bitcoin doesn't, but on the second try everything went smoothly.

I was a little annoyed at n-ster's reaction to the fee/chargeback issue, because he didn't specify how I should send the funds through paypal. I felt that paypal was at fault for having essentially hidden fees. I should have known more about paypal before trying to buy bitcoins through it, but my mistake was honest. n-ster instantly assumed the worst and jumped down my throat.
Overall the experience was positive. Assumptions, mistakes, and miscommunications happen. At the end of the day n-ster was understanding and fair.April 24, 2011
