Bought 2 DVD's from Mr. Goglowski.
kwlt was the Seller on December 1, 2003 Other/Unknown
I first have to say that the amount of money that was involved was not a lot but whether it is $20.00 or $1,000.00 people should treat others as they wish to be treated. This trader was the most unprofessional one I have experienced in online trading to date.
I paid Tom Goglowski AKA: kwlt, kwltlaptops, tomg, scoates, etc. on 12-02-03 for 2 DVD's. He said he would ship them the very next day to me regular Canadian post. I expected at least 7 days shipping time. Giving him plenty of time to get the DVD's to me I waited exactly 14 days (12-16-03) before I attempted contact with Mr. Goglowski.

While he was anxious to reply to my emails before the sale, he did not have the same enthusiasm to follow through with me after the sale. I attempted contact by email and PM. No response was offered so I began to find information on Mr. Goglowski through his many domain registrations and eBay listings. I posted this information on hardforums to have a record of my contact with him and information regarding him. After I posted this information he contacted me immediately and gave the excuse he did not put enough postage on all of his customer?ÇÖs packages. He asked me to remove the information I had posted to the thread. I obliged him and removed it with the stipulation I expected my DVD's in a week. He also mentioned that since the DVD's have scratches and stuff stuck on the covers he would give me some money back. He never indicated the DVD's were previously viewed rental house DVD's. If I had known they were rental house DVD's I would not have purchased them. He refunded $10.00 paypal to me, for the hassle and the fact that they were undisclosed rental house DVD's, and said he would ship the next day 12-17-03.
Between 12-17-03 and 12-27-03 I received emails from other "customers" waiting for their items and eBay buyers that had less than pleasant experiences with Mr. Goglowski. I waited another 10 days until 12-27-03 and called him on his cell phone at which time he said "I shipped the DVD's today" 12-27-03. I contacted troll hunters and started a complaint with them. I contacted paypal and started a complaint with them.
When trollhunters contacted Mr. Goglowski he told them and me in an email that he shipped the DVD's on 12-29-03. So I confronted him on the lie he told me on the phone on 12-27-03 and he insulted me, again.
Today 01-08-04 (38 days after I paid for the DVD's) the DVD's arrived. They were post marked 01-02-04. So they were shipped a week after he told me he shipped them on the phone, 5 days after he told trollhunters he shipped them and 31 days after he had received my paypal payment. There was no return name or address on the package (shady and poor shipping practice) the package was 2 DVD cases wrapped in some type of paper with some tape wrapped around it. Weak packaging too!

Conclusion: While the refund was a nice gesture it did in no way make up for his lack of common courtesy and lack of professionalism. Mr. Goglowski has horrid communication after the sell. I honestly believe if I had not pushed it he would have just skated with my money and just ignored my attempts to communicate. I think his priority lies only in the sell and not the delivery of goods. From the many things I have seen on this guy on the internet he is an opportunist and I can only hope it is catching up with him.

I am very easy to deal with in all aspects of my life. My heat is a reflection of my online dealings thus far. I did pursue this one aggressively due to a feeling I had that this deal was somehow not right. He could have avoided the hassle by first being honest in the description of items for sale (i.e.: stating they are previously viewed rental house products), shipping when promised and most importantly communicating after the sell, and when he did communicate he should have done it in a professional manner.
Personally I would shoot myself in the head and end my life if I ever caught myself considering a trade with Mr. Tom Goglowski again.
My evaluation of this trader? RUN FAST AND FAR AWAY FROM THIS TRADER.

Bought a used PowerMac G4 "Quicksilver" case from Tom.

Shipping was a little weird, apparently CanadaPost was having some problems which delayed things. I paid on the 2nd and received the case on the 14th, they estimated it would take ~9 days (which it did), so it was delayed 5 days. Packaging was a little shotty, but it got the job done. Overall good transaction though, I'd deal with Tom again. Thanks!
