Arthur2k (14)
Was selling a motherboard and processor combo to Arthur2k.
symbioatmeal was the Seller on October 25, 2006 AnandTech
Arthur2k promised payment several times but never sent it, citing problems with PayPal. I had not received payment in two weeks, and thus re-sold the item.
Arthur2k would only reply to messages every few days; communication was sluggish at best. As of now, I have not heard from Arthur2k in 9 days. His Anandtech profile shows that he has not logged in for a week, so perhaps something is going on in real life?
I\'m giving a neutral rating because I only lost time on this transaction. I did not get the impression that Arthur2k was out to deceive me; rather, it seems like something might be going on that is preventing him from effectively buying online.October 27, 2006

IgoByte (55)
Sold a 2GB Toshiba PCMCIA hard drive. Shipped first due to good ratings on this board and his immediate need for the drive.
symbioatmeal was the Seller on October 29, 2002 ArsTechnica
This transaction took quite a while, as I was waiting for payment after shipping the item. Igor did come through though.
Communication was good for the most part - due to extenuating circumstances we sometimes could not get ahold of each other.
Igor was going to send me a money order for this, but it somehow became lost. This delayed things quite a bit, but he did send another one at his own expense.
The transaction took from the end of October until the end of February. All I can really say is that there were a LOT of situations that factored into this.
Given that Igor was very cooperative despite everything else going on, I guess a neutral rating would work best. I would say positive except that the transaction did take so long.
From my experience, Igor is good guy, but just had a lot going on in real life. It happens. I would just recommend having him ship first.
Response from IgoByteClearly my fault on this one. I still can't believe it... It was an inexpensive item and I was so busy that I just kept on forgetting it. Thanks for all the patience.October 29, 2002

MrHans (188)
Bought an SLK1600 ATX case but was in need of a Pentium 3 HSF too.. Hans threw it in for free! In addition, he added some thumbscrews, a small fan (to replace one in an item I'm selling), a 92mm exhaust fan, and included materials for doing a voltage mod on the fan in case it is too loud.
symbioatmeal was the Buyer on July 28, 2003 ArsTechnica
Absolutely incredible. First of all, the case was a great deal.. it's new! Hans went far above and beyond the call of duty on this one. I've had some great trades in my time, but none this good. He even shipped first on his own volition - and the package arrived less than 19 hours later (props to fedex ground!)
I'll be checking out all of Hans' trading threads in the future.. this guy rocks.July 28, 2003

politenessman (213)
Bought a Core i5 750 CPU.
symbioatmeal was the Buyer on October 19, 2009 HardForum
Dave did an extraordinary job with this sale; totally above and beyond my expectations.
We had excellent communication; I had some questions and issues along the way, and always received courteous and prompt responses.
Unfortunately, the package was lost in the mail. Once this became apparent, I was immediately refunded in full via Paypal.
This seems like it was just an unfortunate fluke event, and Dave handled it exceptionally. It\'s not always easy to find someone this trustworthy to trade with.November 4, 2009
