shipped overseas? packaging was pretty beat up, but lots of bubble wrap inside (very nice ty.) I've noticed on heatware that he's helped others RMA cards he's sent before, I hope this isn't a regular pattern for the items he sells. My card had artifacts/tearing and major stuttering. I asked him if he could RMA it for me and he wouldn't. luckly XFX has a double lifetime warranty so I could register it in my name or I would have been screwed, told me to deal with it, he had more important things to do, which may be true, but I can see he has time to post on the forums but not set up an RMA for a faulty card he shipped to me, no bueno. I paid quickly, transaction was smooth on my part. I am not impressed, please do not tell your customers that you don't care about positive or negative feedback and just deal with it.
This is a comment someone else left about a card he bought from YerBuddy, I wish I could have had the same level of service.
"The card didn't work soon after i got it (despite his impeccable packaging!). He filled out all the RMA paperwork quickly and even paid to ship it to me. this is key-even after the money's exchanged hands, yerbuddy goes the extra mile."
^This I believe is what should have been done for me, but this was never even offered.
*EDIT* as per a rude e-mail about this evaluation, I would like to stress that he did offer me a refund. This was not an option for me, I wanted the card, and a simple RMA would have fixed the problems I was having.
**EDIT** Just a quick edit to his response, the other option was to have him set up the RMA so I didn't have to put the warranty in my name, as this was a GPU meant for my friend. This wasn't underhanded at all, I just wanted it dealt with, no return shipping was wanted, and YerBuddy felt it wasn't his problem to assist, and that's why I had the neutral response. I would deal with YerBuddy again, I felt his packaging was excellent and the shipping outstanding! Just sad it didn't work and our communication was difficult. YerBuddy is a great person, no doubt, misunderstandings happen to the best of us.
Response from YerBuddyNot only did I offer a full 100% refund for the card, I also offered to pay for the shipping. He would not have been out one dime. Instead he wanted another arrangement made and I refused because I felt it was underhanded. I will not deal with this guy again.July 1, 2010
