tbogstad was the Buyer on April 4, 2003 Other/Unknown
"FUTUREMARK" I did get the part eventually, but he could not be bother with getting the address correct, even though I reminded him several times, sent once, then resent again to the wrong address again, I dont think he is a trying to screw anybody, just is lazy and unorganized.
Packing job was not so hot either.April 4, 2003

stick pc3500 corsair 512mb for stick 512mb samsung CTL pc2700 and which also has a lifetime warranty and $65.00 dollars.
Cross-traded on September 5, 2002 Other/Unknown
This guy is fine if everything goes well, I think but , is not a stand up enough guy to back up what he sells.
I agreed to trade my 512mb of corsair pc3500 with lifetime warranty for a 512mb pc2700 "SAMSUNG" CTL stick and $65.00, I shipped first because I am a nice guy and he said he needed is computer for school work, so he ships the ram to me after he gets mine.
Well I get the ram and it is not "samsung" CTL memory, it is POWMEM with CTL chips or atleast they say Samsung on the chips.
And he said it did like 200SFB and it wont even run 166 stable on three different computers.
So I am like hey this is not what you said it was ie: samsung memory and it is bad too.
Well he just says you broke it, tough luck for you and wont trade back.
I even offer to recoup him for his shipping costs just to get my corsair back and he wont do it.
He agrees to take it back and test it, but still will not be a straight up person and just give me back my corsair, even though he admits he was wrong and it is not Genuine Samsung memmory with a lifetime guarentee.
So i eventually agree to take the POWMEM back because I have no choice and that is all he will agree too.
well this is taking too long so here are some pm''s i sent him, they tell more.
once again I dont think he ment to screw me, but when the deal went sour he just cut and ran and said the hell with me basically.
Take your chances with this guy????
1. i didnt really have a quarel with your price..
anyway.. sorry about taking so long to get your ram to you. With the way my life is going now, its gonna be snapped in two and ill owe you another stick of impossible to find ram....
2. its a PO box, so the post is right there...
and sorry about USPS... damn slow people...
3. Samsung PCB?? They make that? I had thought it was only the chips they made. Eitherway, it does 200. Sorry your not happy
4. And lemme guess, that is what you wanted. [sad]
And it was relaxed timings at 200. i belive it was 2.5/5/3/3
5. I really doubt that the PCB has anthing to do with it.
What voltage are you running it at?
6. BTW, if it makes you feel any better, the Corsair isnt running so hot. Right now, i cant run her any higher than 2/6/3/3 @ 210 @ 2.7v... i coulda swore this stuff could handle high timings...
7. Well.. hopefully you dont have any gripes. I guess next time you might want to be a bit less ambiguous in your requests. You said sammy CTL, and that is what you got. I still cant belive there is a difference, but....
8. Aye carumba.
I got the CTL from a local store where i live.
What timings are you using on the CTL?
9. God damnit..... Are you sure it didnt geet messed up during shipping? Do all the resistors check out?
See, unless the RAM got damaged, i dont know what is happening. I have run MANY benches in my BD7II at 200 quite fine. Maybe you should back down on the voltage, to 2.6-2.7. I say that because that is all i needed to get it at those speeds.
10. Well, instead of just benching, do important things like games and such run? And like i said, is there any damage visible to the chip?
And im really not sure why you dont like the stick in general. It is Samsung CTL. Unless you think i faked it.
Here is the deal. I sent you a stick that in my board ran 200 MHz x2 @ 2.5,5,3,3 @ 2.7. Frankly, i dont know what happened. Its possible it got damaged in-transit, or that something happened on your end; i dont know.
11. Listen. I dont have time for this at the moment. I have a Calculus final at 9:00 this morning, and i need sleep. If there is anything left to deal with, i will do it tommorrow. Good night.
12. OK.. great. It says Samsung.
I still say that you should be having no problem.
You also havent answered my question about it having any damage.
How are you testing the RAM? In every slot, or just one? Multiple sticks or alone. Right now, i am EXTREMELY hesitant to consider sending it back, considering now that that it might as well be dead. Assuming of course you have tried ot on something other than a damn synthetic bench.
And your gonna leave me with ram i cant use, and thus have no computer, assuming you want yours back.
