  • TROLL TROLL TROLL DO NOT TRADE WITH HIM (almost trolled me as well)

IvanAndreevich was the Buyer on March 15, 2006 XtremeSystems

    His recent trolling info: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=92345

He stole thousands of dollars (if not tens of thousands) from various people.

More negatives from HORDES of scammed people have not been posted.

Do NOT let him sweetalk you into buying dirt-cheap high-end hardware for 1/3 of the retail cost. If the deal is too good to be true from a known troll, IT IS!

His website is garbage, do NOT let yourself be tricked into believing he has any credibility just because he owns a junkyard like that.

ONCE AGAIN: STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

  • 1 x Dell 2005FPW Monitor

IvanAndreevich was the Buyer on June 30, 2006 AnandTech

7 months ago, on November 24, 2005, I paid $451. Some months ago I received $150 of that money back, but no more since then.

Here is a quote from one of the last emails he sent me \"by the end of june you absolutely 100% have every penny.\" It\'s July 1 and I do not have the remaining $301.

He says he\'s been in financial troubles lately and hence unable to pay me back. But let\'s look right here on Heatware for a record of things he has purchased in the last 6 months.

    Paintball Gun and Accessories
    Dtek Spir@l waterblock
    BF2: SF
    Another Paintball Gun
Danger Den D5 12 volt watercooling pump, and Danger Den Black Ice Extreme Chrome Edition
    120mm Rad and fan Grill
    Opteron 165 OEM
    Swiftech Micro Res
    1GB of RAM
    P4 3.0c CPU
    Farcry DVD
Creative Audigy 2 PCI Sound Card
    wireless keyboard/mouse
    6800nu and a 1700+
(ok that\'s it I am tired of copy/pasting)

Hardly any of those things seem essential, right? He spent much more than what is owed while in one of the emails he said quote \"I have wanted more than anything to give you that money back just to be past this whole thing\".

He shipped the monitor GROUND and without tracking (although I paid for PRIORITY with tracking), but says he insured it for $500. Apparently USPS never paid him the money back. I certainly think it\'s foolish to ship such an expensive item without tracking, especially when it\'s been paid for.

I gave him a LOT of time to work it out with USPS or just come up with the money himself. Obviously he is not willing to try too hard.

This is, by far, the worst experience I have ever had in any trade. Every single person on every single forum PLEASE stay away from this liar AT LEAST until he pays me back what he owes me.

I want my money back NOW. If within 7 days I don\'t have it, I will contact troll hunters, the moderators on all the forums you frequent, and file a police report.

  • Bought a XP2500+ and NF7-S Rev 2.0 from him.

IvanAndreevich was the Buyer on May 27, 2004 Other/Unknown

The CPU was chipped and he didn't mention it. He said he didn't think it was a big deal, so that part I could understand. However, he was NOT very cooperative in refunding the money for the CPU, even though he did refund it in the end. Also, he noted that this CPU should run 3200+ at about stock voltage stable but it didn't (1 minute of Prime95, then fails). I don't hold it against him cause always YMMV, but I was using watercooling and my temperature was 35C under 100% load so I suppose it was better than his aircooling.

He claimed he contacted the company he bought the CPU from and they said it was OK that it's chipped. When I contacted them, they said they would never say anything of this sort and the CPU is no longer under warranty.

I am only trying to be fair and post an honest eval. He DID refund my money, so I would no go as far as saying to NOT trade with him - just look @ all the positives he's got. The only thing I would say is PLEASE read these chat logs which illustrate my trading experience with him (warning:profanity):

I know I don't have much heat and this guy was the 1st guy I ever traded. Contact CarpeDiem99 - he'll confirm what I've said.

    Response from notoriousformula
Answer to his neutral heatware eval:

1)First off all, This guy is INVISIBLE( no, honestly!).. he never called or saw me in person.. Though he LIVES in the SAME CITY and within 2-3 miles Radius.. He always sent his Friends to deal for him?? His friends came Twice to my home to deal for him and BOTH times he made up ridiculous excuses(read on..)

    2) I admit i sold him a scratched NOT a chipped one(they way he explains)OEM AMD 2500+ CPU which i bought from ATIC computers, I ran the CPU at 3200+ at stock voltages for over 6 months without any problems.. He says it didn't even pass the 1st minute of Prime95..I ran 24/7 Folding @ home on that cpu..how can you say it never passed the stress test..

    3) he fought with me over and over again that i gave him a bad chip and it won't run at over 3200+ speeds.. i NEVER promised him 3200+ and above speeds.. I never mentioned that this is a very good clocker core or anything.. EVEN his friend Ameer(CarpeDiem99) agreed that he should run a 2500+ at 2500+ speeds and stop whining about it. He claims himself to be a great mod god..as far as i know he doesn't even know how to mount a heatsink properly..

    4) He tried to threaten me many times that he will leave me with negative remarks, He also Thread crapped my other FS threads on AT within 1-2 days of buying the combo..

    5) I tried to get hold of him and called his friend's phone(the only contact # i have) many times.. he never came to the phone.(why??)

    6) I agreed to refund CPU money and asked him to come and pick up the cash..Instead of coming in Person he sent his friends to pick up the refund (dude..its your refund.. don't make silly excuses that you can't come!!)

    7) 3 days after the refund, He PMs me back and says that another friend of his would like to buy the Scratched chip from me.. WOW! he is happy to recommend a bad chip(he calls it) to his friends?? everybody would love a friend like HIM..
In response i told him that my experience with him has been very bad and will not sell the chip to his friend. FROM that PM i was sure that he badly wanted the chip and tried to use the "friend wants to but the chip" trick so that he can buy it again for a cheaper price. PATHETIC!!!

    8) After all this, he didn't stop here and started a new thing, missing SATA adapter with NF7-S board. He pmed me every hour on AT for it or a >$20-25CDN refund, i again explained him that i never mentioned any SATA in my FS post on AT. He again threaten me that this will result into a negative heatware for me. Alas i had no option so I offered him a Vantec nexus 301 Fan controller + two Cold Cathode lights($40USD Value).. He HAPPILY agrees, Sends me a PM within few secs and SAYS OKAY to the deal.. after 1 WEEKS of no commuinication he PMs me back that HIS FRIENDS WILL PICK the controller from my place(HE made another ridiculous excuse that he wants to play basket ball that day.. wtf??) IN RETURN I asked him to leave me with an appropriate heatware evals(for the mobo deal) before his friends pick up the controller..HE leaves another 2 WEEKS communication gap ..and replies me back that the DEAL WAS OFF(after TWO WEEKS OF THINKING??) and he no longer wants the controller and will leave me with a bad heatware.

Summary: I will never trade/deal with him or his friends...the outcome of this deal = over 1 month of stress, watching him thread crap my FS threads and listening to his ridiculous excuses from his friend's mouth..

  • Radeon 9500 256-bit which was specified as softmodded.

IvanAndreevich was the Buyer on August 7, 2004 AnandTech

The card was tested as a Radeon 9500 and worked flawlessly as such. However, once it was softmodded to a 9700, it was giving artifacts in many games/apps (3DMark2001, Doom III, DeusX, etc). I contacted Nate and he gave me some sound advice, such as trying to use any other drivers/tweaks/etc. However, nothing helped. For about a week he denied he was at fault and then there was a long communication lapse during which he ignored me with this issue completely. However, I got my friend to talk to him, contacted the mods and asked the community for advice here:

    http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=45&threadid=1390408&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear

As as a result, I was able to get back in touch with Nate and we were able to resolve the issue - he offered me a fair partial refund of the difference between a non-softmodding and a softmodding card. However, it took a few weeks and a lot of time and nerves to work things out, so the transaction was less than smooth. In the above thread, most of the traders agreed with my judgement on this - hence the neutral sign on this eval.

Keep in mind that this isn't a negative, and in the end ALL WAS SETTLED FAIRLY on BOTH ENDS. In my opinion, this isn't the sort of thing that should keep you from trading with Nate.

  • Antec TruePower 2.0 EPS12V 550W PSU

IvanAndreevich was the Buyer on March 14, 2006 AnandTech

The packaging the PSU was shipped in was clearly inadequate, but fortunately no damage, except a broken SATA connector, occured.

Kaltek and I agreed that a partial refund was in order and the situation was quickly resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.

Overall, I think there is nothing horrible here but a valuable reminder to a new trader that quality packing is essential. I believe Kaltek learned that lesson and hence, I would deal with him again the future!

    Response from Kaltek657
partial refund was issued and we are now in good standings
