We traded a PS2 that needed some work for a 4GB USB Flash Drive
Cross-traded on March 20, 2008 AnandTech
According to phaticon, the PS2 was functional except for needed a new AC plug in the back. Since I had those spare parts, it would be an easy fix for me, and a good trade for a 4GB flash drive.
When the PS2 was received, it was not just a broken AC plug. The motherboard was faulty, and the bezel on the drive was broken off (on top of the system being very dirty).
I was unhappy with this, as I would not have gone along with the trade had I been informed of the PS2\'s actual condition. However, I offered that if I was refunded $10 to help cover the cost of a new motherboard, I would find that acceptable. That was agreed upon, but over a month later with multiple PM\'s sent, I have yet to see anything. I even offered to buy back the flash drive if money was an issue. No response on that.
So, I\'m leaving a negative because I received an item that was not as described, my PM\'s were ignored, and an agreed upon refund of $10 shouldn\'t take well over a month.
I will not be trading with this individual again.March 21, 2008

Purchased an original Xbox along with various accessories.
RaiderJ was the Buyer on June 11, 2007 AnandTech
Seller agreed to ship first, but the package that was received did not include all the items that were agreed upon. Missing were:
1 Madcatz controller
Power cable
HD AV cable
5 games
Silly me, I went ahead and paid as the seller agreed those items would be shipped. Two weeks later I\'ve heard or received nothing.
Filed a paypal claim. Maybe I\'ll get my money back?June 12, 2007

I traded a $50 BB gift card for cash, modem, and floppy drive
Cross-traded on May 8, 2002 AnandTech
I gave him a neutral rating because the trade went as discussed, and everything works, but I would be extremely hesistant to trade with him again.
After discussing and finalizing the deal on Anandtech, I mailed the card out the next day. He received the card on a Tuesday, but didn\'t send me a message until I contacted him later that week. During that time I asked if he could mail the items that I traded for. He agreed and said he would mail out the items very soon.
Almost a week later I received a message asking what my mailing address was. I sent him a reply, and asked that he send the items ASAP since I would be leaving the state soon. He agreed.
The floppy drive and modem came in the mail, and worked fine when tested. There was no cash/check/etc. in the box, and I sent a message to him asking where it was, and if he could send the cash via paypal or some other method since it was part of the trade. The money arrived via paypal soon after.
So, the trade when ok, but I was disappointed with the speed at which things went. I realize that he may have been rather busy at the time of the trade, but I wonder if anything would have been shipped if I had not sent out multiple emails asking on the status of the trade.May 8, 2002

Purchased a known broken X-Box and a mod chip.
RaiderJ was the Buyer on July 1, 2006 AnandTech
I was *this* close to leaving a positive evaluation - but decided to leave neutral feedback. Not trying to be spiteful, just honest in my evaluation.
The X-Box wasn\'t shipped for a week after payment was sent, but that was supposedly due to an illness on the seller\'s part. Since it came from Canada, it took a bit of time to arrive.
The X-Box was shipped with absolutely ZERO packing material around it, but oddly enough insured for $80 (which never would have been approved if I had made a claim). Luckily X-Boxes are built like tanks and everything that was supposed to work did.
When I asked why there wasn\'t any packing material, the seller said they were new to shipping. I don\'t really buy that as an excuse, and in the future I would ask this person to ship first.
However, communication and attitude was always positive, and I feel that if there did come out to be an issue with the X-Box, it would have been taken care of.July 2, 2006

Purchased a fatty PS2 with some accessories
RaiderJ was the Buyer on May 8, 2007 AnandTech
Very honest seller! Being completely absent-minded I sent payment for the PS2 twice! A message was quickly sent asking how I wanted my refund for overpayment. Thank you!
The PS2 itself was exactly as described, and extra effort was made to ship the system in a flat rate box to save me on shipping cost. I\'m very happy with it all.
Highly recommended seller!May 9, 2007
