Volkswagen (562)
PC Games: Crysis, BF2, + UT 2004.
deadken was the Buyer on February 11, 2010 AnandTech
I was looking for the PC game Crysis. I found Volkswagen\'s F/S thread and he was selling (3) games for a good enough price that it wasn\'t worth trying to Crysis alone. While the lack of Paypal was a slight inconvenience, it was not a big deal at all.
His communication was very good, his packing was superb, and he was very prompt in his shipping. It was a pleasure dealing with him and I hope to deal with him again.February 12, 2010

Canon A40 PowerShot Camera
deadken was the Buyer on April 2, 2005 AnandTech
I bought this camera from Spanky with no worries. After dealing with him in the past (last time, I sold to him), I knew that he is a GREAT trader.
He has great communication skills, and kept in contact with me reguarly (updated me with shipping info, etc..) and was sn 'all around' great guy (nice price on the camera also). He even included a USB Cable for the camera (it was listed as a 'bare camera'), because he came accross it before he shipped. Very thoughtful and greatly appreciated.
I am looking forward to dealing with him again!April 2, 2005

deadken was the Buyer on October 5, 2004 AnandTech
Good comunicator, took the time to explain why having a Paypal confirmed address is important. Never got impatient. Packaged stuff FANTASTIC! I almost couldn't find the Blue ORB! I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

compwarez (52)
Patriot 2,2,2,5 PC3200 DDR Memory
deadken was the Buyer on November 10, 2005 AnandTech
I purchased a stick of Patriot 2,2,2,5 PC 3200 Ram from compwarez. He was very good to deal with. He communicated well and promptly. He linked to exact products. He packed nicely and shipped soon.
As a 'bonus', he even threw in the 'other' stick of memory (one was good, the other bad). He couldn't remember which was which (he hadn't marked them) and I was fine with testing them when I got them (since I would be testing them anyway). The one that has been tested so far has passed memtest for over 12hours (I guess that is the 'good' one).
I am very happy that I got the chance to 'deal' with 'compwarez'. I look forward to 'trading' with him in the future!November 11, 2005

Duron 1300 w/HS/Fan, 2x256MB PC 100, and a ECS Mobo.
deadken was the Buyer on May 27, 2005 AnandTech
I purchased a 'basic' folding rig from 'ariafrost'. What started out as my interest in a CPU turned into a very friendly encounter. Ariafrost may not be a very established trader as of yet, but he certainly knows how to trade. He was very reasonable in his pricing, EXCELLENT in his comunication, and very good in his packing and shipping.
It has truly been my pleasure in dealing with him and I look forward to the opportunity to 'deal with him again.May 27, 2005

I bought 3 DVD's from dedpuhl and all seem to be as advertised. They are clean, they were well packaged and he shipped promptly. I haven't had the time to watch 2 of them yet, but they look to be fine and I didn't want to wait any longer to leave a positive for what seems to be a good seller.

AMD XP 2000+ CPU (Bare)
deadken was the Buyer on August 3, 2004 AMDMB
Seller was very good. Good preliminary communication, good shipping, and very good post communication!
I was stress testing the CPU in my daughters rig, and I didn't post or email him saying I got the CPU right away. BigB emailed me asking if I had received the CPU. A nice follow up from a nice seller.
I just need to get used to these Palimino temps. (my first Palimino core CPU).August 3, 2004

I bought a 40GB HD, 92MM Fan, and a Stock AMD HS/Fan. The package arrived promptly, and the items were packed well. Afrakes was patient enough to let me pay what I had in my Paypal account and pay the rest ($11) when my transfer had 'cleared'. All items tested fine. Good Trader here. Thanks.

Stick of PC133 laptop memory
deadken was the Buyer on August 31, 2010 HardForum
I wanted to upgrade an old laptop I have and Dave was very helpful. Being an old laptop, it needed a particular 'density' memory in order to be recognized properly. Dave looked through what he had and sent me two sticks to try. He was extremely gracious in sending it first. I tried the one that was in the open package, it worked, and I sent back what I didn't use the next day.
I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Dave again. He is a pleasure to deal with. His attitude and helpfulness are outstanding! His communication, packing, and shipping were all fine.

Antec 2650BQE Case (minus PS).
deadken was the Buyer on April 28, 2005 AnandTech
I bought an Antec case from gxshockwav. We met up locally and he is a great person to deal with. Very pleasant.
Case was in pristine condition with all the items (except the PS, which was known). He even had the original box and manual. What can I say... A nice person to deal with, good price, great communication. A definite POSITIVE.
I am looking forward to more 'deals' with gxshockwav.April 28, 2005

newtekie1 (80)
Call of Duty 2 (Non-Retail)
deadken was the Buyer on October 7, 2007 Other/Unknown
Newtekie1 listed some items for sale on \'Tech Power Up\' forums. I sent a PM and we agreed on a price (of which I ended up being $0.11 short). He agreed to take the payment, less the 11 cents, rather then wait for me to transfer more money to my Paypal account.
Newtekie1 shipped promptly and I tested the software within 3 days of getting it.
I wouldn\'t hesitate to trade with Newtekie1 again. He responded to PM\'s promptly and was a pleasure to deal with overall.October 9, 2007

Returned $50 Paypal Payment that I sent to him by mistake. I guess you would call it 'Traded'...
Cross-traded on October 23, 2004 Other/Unknown
He returned $50 Paypal Payment that I sent to him by mistake. I PM'd him and he sent it right back. He didn't ask questions, he just sent it back. I didn't find out until later that it cost him $1.75 in PayPal fees. He didn't want the $1.75 just because we had dealt earlier.
I guess what we have here is a TRUE GENTLEMAN. If you had accidentaly put $50 in a guys wallet (a guy you had done a small one time transaction with), and he paid $1.75 to send it back to you NO QUESTIONS ASKED, what would you call him?October 23, 2004

Inspector Jihad (7)
Free copy of Half-Life 2
deadken was the Buyer on April 9, 2008 AnandTech
I can\'t really say that I was the buyer since Inspector Jihad refused to take any money from me....
I started a thread at Anandtech asking if I could remove a Half-Life 2 Episode 1 from my Steam account so that my son and I could play HL2 deathmatch together. I found out that you can\'t remove a game once it is activated on a Steam account.
Inspector Jihad replied in the thread and offered to give my son a FREE copy of HL2! I tried numerous times to give him some money, but he remained a COMPLETE gentleman and refused any kind of payment!
He transferred the game over to my son (no need to send any disks with a Steam account) very promptly once he got all of his account information.
I would recommend this generous Anandtech community member to anyone. It has truly been my pleasure to deal with him.April 30, 2008

No Tact (288)
ATI Remote Wonder
deadken was the Buyer on January 28, 2005 Rage3D
What a pleasure! First off, the package was shipped from NV on Thursday and I got it in NY on Saturday! The best $2 upgrade to Priority I have ever spent. Second off, the item seemed to be a BRAND-NEW unit! I mean, all accessories, and even a 4-pack of AAA Batteries (still shrink wrapped!). It wasn't listed in the thread as NEW, but it sure looks to be NEW (No Tact has since PM'd me and said that the unit is in fact NEW).
He is a very respected and very reasonable seller. He communicates well and ships promptly. His prices are good and his reputation is FLAWLESS! What more could you ask for?January 28, 2005

deadken was the Buyer on January 22, 2010 HardForum
I bought a 60GB HD from ilikecake from over at [H]ardforums. The price was very good. His communication was prompt, helpful, and accurate. The shipping was quick (and included DC, which was very nice considering the total price), and the packing was terrific. The HD works and tests fine.
All-in-all, I couldn\'t have asked for a better transaction. Everything was that good.
