PlagueOC was the Buyer on September 25, 2004 AMDMB
Sold me a dead card, refused to give refund on the basis that i might have mounted the card wrong. video card was in obvious bad condition, heatsink was missing some mounting hardware which caused it to tilt on the core.
heatsink had major dents, and even fungi was growning on the fins.
Seller expects for sapphire to RMA the card in its condition, but knowing sapphire, they will definatly not.
thanks for a waste of money
Response from ronin_Ludicrous.
Buyer is exaggerating on most counts. Over prolong use, dust balls accummulates in and around the heatsink, but buyer prefers to state fungi to insist neglect was the cause. Dents are the cause of 2 screw mounts from using a bigger fan. The card was not advertised to be in pristine, good-as-new shape, it was however stated to have been used 6 months.
I suggested buyer try to RMA the card because I simply did not know what he meant by "major artifacts". Buyer vaguely explained how it is showing artifact that he cannot read anything. Could be a system conflict, could be user error, but the card was certainly shipped in working condition. I will certainly not absorb the financial burden on behalf of someone else's neglect or misuse.
