  • Sold a 4 disk DVD set of Angel Links. Item sold by this thread: http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,12364644~mode=flat

trparky was the Seller on January 19, 2005 BBReports.com

At first, I was a bit nervous about selling something online. I am sure that most of you that have been on the Internet for awhile have probably heard of several horror stories about people buying and selling stuff online, particularly eBay stories horror stories.

I looked at eBay as a way to sell this item, but the horror stories turned me off.

That was when I noticed that Broadband Reports had a Buy/Sell Forum. "Logan 5" responded to my request to sell the item. I asked a guy named "FutureMon" on the same site, who happens to be a member of the SETI StarFire Team and he told me that "Logan 5" has been around the site for quite a long time, like I have.

So, I thought....go for it! I told "Logan 5" that he could send me the $25 via PayPal when I did receive. He ended up sending it in such a way that I got receipt from PayPal that looked strangely like a shipment packing list, like one of those you would get from say....NewEgg. So, I printed it out and stuffed it into a box along with the DVD set with some packing "popcorn".

I then shipped the package out the next morning.

Would I sell another item (if I had an item to sell) to "Logan 5"? Yes. Would I buy from him? Yes.

Overall, the transaction went a lot smoother than I had anticipated, what with all of the different eBay stories I have heard.
