Eulogy

Bought a "fixed" PS3 from koretex. Wish I hadn't, as it wasn't fixed, pieces are missing, and seller refuses to resolve issue.

Koretex listed a repaired, working Playstation 3 system for sale on HardForum. After speaking to him via PM system, we agreed on a deal and I paid for the item.
Koretex DID ship out the unit in a timely manner, and packing was done very well. This is the last "good" thing that I can say about my transaction with him, however.
After receiving the unit and getting time to set it up and sit down and play it, I began running into issues. The PS3 would power off with the red light flashing after the harddrive light blinks a couple of times. I PM'd koretex and he said I was overheating it. The PS3 sits flat, on granite tile in an open setting. I doubted that it was overheating, but I obliged and tried to work with that.
The PS3 functionality had gotten worse. After a day it finally got to the point where it will no longer even power on. I PM'd koretex again looking for help and ideas. After speaking to him over several PMs, he expected me to pay additionally to do the "YLOD" fix, and replacing missing pieces that he neglected to put back after he repaired it. I'm somewhat certain that these missing pieces (thermal pads) are somewhat contributing to the instability of this PS3.

Around the 4:45 mark - the two black thermal pads. Gilsky even goes on later to mention these, as they are removed. As can be clearly seen by this entire series of videos, there is absolutely no way for these to just "go missing in shipping" as the seller tried to tell me.
After finding that these were missing, I let koretex know and asked that he refund my purchase and I will send the PS3 back. koretex said no to this and that I was simply out of luck on this deal - he did not counter offer or meet me halfway, even. Instead, he chose to continue saying that I am overheating the system, and that I need to go out and replace the thermal pads that he neglected to put back on. I don't understand how I am overheating a system that will not even power on, or why a seller would not disclose that they forgot something as important as that, and also why a seller would expect any buyer to pay for more money for their own blunder. I have resorted to opening a PayPal dispute and hope that will get me my money back.

All in all, I am extremely dissatisfied with my dealing with koretex.

Everything was as described (If not better than described), shipping was fast and well executed (packing was very, very well done and protected the items well), communication was superb! Highly recommend if you're considering working with this guy.

I PayPal\'d him, he sent it out the next day, I had it in my hands two days later (crom CA to PA too!). Awesome, awesome seller! Good packaging, and product was excatly (actually, better) than described. Thoroghly happy with this transaction.

Communication was great. Seller shipped promptly, well packed, and provided tracking information as soon as they had it. Item arrived safe, and initial testing seems fine (was advertised AS-IS, so, I cannot really complain too much if it fails memtest that I start tomorrow evening). Overall happy with the deal and the seller - thanks!

I had things posted for sale... we originally worked out a deal on one of the items... after about a day, he and I were talking, he got the Money Order, then decided he would also take another item I had. We worked out that he's just PayPal (I didn't have the option to use that when the deal first started). He paid immediatly. Doesn't get much easier than that at all :).

Transaction went very smooth. I sent him paypal, he sent me the player. I even got it a day early!
Also, he bought a new battery for it and is sending it to me since the one in it is bad. Cool guy!
I had a slight issue when I went to use it... it got stuck loading on the \"EAX\" screen. After a short bit of googling, and trying some things, I found it just needed a firmware upgrade. This was IN NO WAY foolish501\'s fault though.
Would definitely do business with again in a heartbeat.

V.A. bought some Cisco equipment from me. Something happened during shipping, and a lot of the items were unuseable when they got there. He paid for what is good, and is disposing of the rest.

I effed up while packing (didn\'t do a \"great\" job on it) and also something had to happen during shipping (my original box was not there when VA recived it).
After a couple of PMs at HardForum, we decided to just dispose of the junk, and he can pay for what is still good.
VA then paypal\'d me, and I\'ll be refunding him the shipping cost as soon as he finds out what the total was (he shipped it on his FedEx account).

Bought 15 WoW Game Time codes from Izusaga. I sent payment and he sent me the codes very quickly. I put a couple of them on my battle.net account to test and they worked. I expect no issues with the remainder which will go on a 2nd account I have.
