  • Sold me an Asus P5A-B & a K6-2 400.

B_I_G_P_I_M_P was the Seller on March 19, 2002 AnandTech

It took me 3 weeks to work out a meeting with Jamie - even though we live in the same city practically.
It was almost like he didn't want to do the deal in person. Eventually - because he apparently had "another buyer" who he could ship to - I made the drive all the way to his house to pick it up from his Mom.
I get it back home & the monitor won't power up, using any video card. Later testing the mobo with a P100, it booted fine, from ANY video card. Later testing of his K6-2 400 in another mobo proved it was fried. Then - because he stated that in his Hardforum post (which I never saw & still don't even know his Hardforum username) he stated AS IS (which he didn't in his AT post) he decided he won't refund part of my money for the broken processor.

**UPDATE** & he didn't even in his Hardforum post. **UPDATE**

Not only this - but the whole time dealing with this guy, I had a bad feeling.. He didn't even want to meet up.
He also told me varying stories about whether he'd used it, not used it, tested it, not tested it (I got one of each answer at varying times) I'm quite certain the chip was fried from the beginning - because I was trying to get it working w/ the jumper settings HE had left on the mobo.

    his emails.

    he lives in Brampton, Ontario.

i would never deal with this guy again, unless i tested everything first, because his word is worth nothing.

CAREFUL.. He's intentionally vague & un-helpful. It took 7 emails to get him to send me some specs on the motherboard - he was more interested in what I could trade or give him than being an honest trader.
