  • 56K Modems (1) ISA Atech ATS-200 (1) PCI Motorola E3p24-000 (1) PCI Creative DS1820 RAM (1) Micron PC100 64MB SDRAM

LilHen was the Buyer on June 10, 2003 AnandTech

On Wed. 5/14/03, I sent Michael Moses Willis a check for several modems and a stick of RAM. I asked him to cross-ship since I needed the items SOON and because I

had far more references than him. He promised to do so that Fri. 5/16/03. When I asked him for a tracking # on 5/17/03, he said he received my check that Sat. and said

he would ship the following Mon. (5/19/03). Oh well, so much for cross-shipping. I again asked for a tracking # the next Wed. (5/21/03) only to get the following excuse ...

"ok, very very very sorry we had a restest on our math exams because well you know cheaters made 100's on it so... im gonna ship it ASAP with tracking #BTW i have no

antistatic bags what should i use?"

Okay, now a week has passed since this deal has started, Moses has my check, and I have nothing. So I just tell him to hurry it up and send me my stuff immediately. On

Memorial day (Mon. 5/26/03), I get another excuse ...

"Hey dude sorry for the long wait in getting this stuff shipped i am gonna try to ship today.. Is there any thing i should do for you since i took over a week to ship like

payments?...refunds?..just lmk for my stupidity and laziness"

Again, I plead for him to just send me the stuff that I've already paid for. That's already almost two weeks since this deal started. Still nothing at the end of the week. No

communication either for that matter. I send him another e-mail on 6/3/03 and he tells me that his computer crashed so he couldn't ship it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I for

one can't figure out how the heck a broken computer has anything to do with shipping a package. It's not like this guy doesn't have my address from the check and envelope

that I sent him! Give me a break! Anybody could've gone to any public library and sent me an e-mail about their computer BEFORE HAND and not try to use that as an

excuse afterward. As you can tell by June, my patience was wearing out. I already purchased two modems on eBay and had them installed by the time the package finally

    arrived today.

As if the wait didn't make my mouth sour enough, the ISA modem was dead. What's more the 64MB stick of RAM I paid for turned out to be ONLY 32MB. Moses did throw

in a DEAD video card and a DEAD 50mm fan to make up for the wait though. If the video card wasn't dead already, it would've been since he simply threw it in the box with

the rest of the stuff so it could fly around in. What am I saying, his own description was that it was in an "unknown" state. He must've KNOWN it was dead to not worry

about even wrapping it up in plastic bubble wrap like the modems.

BOTTOMLINE: If you've very very very patient and don't mind a lot of excuses or headaches, then go ahead and trade with Willy here. But PLEASE, at least have him ship

first before you send payment because you may NEVER get your stuff.

LilHen was the Buyer on June 2, 2003 AnandTech

I don't like posting NEGATIVES but the truth must be known:(! I paid Houdini here on 4/28/03. There's horrible communication and then there's NO communication at all. Some inexperienced traders don't reply with shipping information/status unless you prod and prompt them. Houdini here just took my money as well as that of many others on several forums and just DISAPPEARED. After many PMs and e-mails he sent me an excuse about being "out of town for business" on 5/8/03 and promised to ship no later than that Fri. HELLO, that's already almost two weeks! The only business he was doing was withdrawing all of OUR money from his PayPal account and spending it ALL. Communications from him cease again until 5/22/03--where again he's got another pathetic excuse. This time he was in court for "Deposit Account Fraud." How ironic, I would've never thought. As he finally ships the items we paid for (since he can't just refund us because he's already spent it ALL), he conveniently loses my address. After over a month of BS, I did finally get my Zip drive, which is just going to sit around being useless since I already bought another waiting for this one. If enjoy headaches, don't mind NO communication, or just plain like risking your money, then BarMan is an okay trader. For everyone else, stay the HELL away from this TROLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

  • Traded Josh an ATI TV Wonder for his Maxtor HD

    Cross-traded on April 24, 2003 AnandTech

In his post, Josh stated that he had a 40 Gig HD to trade for a TV Tuner. Upon receipt, I got a 30 Gig. As it turns out, he misread the model number as the capacity of the drive. The Maxtor DiamondMax VL 40 5400 RPM is actually a 30 Gig, NOT 40. Anyways, he refunded me the difference plus a lil' something extra for the mistake. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to deal him again. Thanks.

LilHen was the Buyer on May 17, 2003 AnandTech

Things were very smooth at the get go. I paid and he FedExed. That's when things starting getting quite rough though. Some moron at the FedEx counter typed in the wrong zip code for the label even though Eli affixed the correct address and everything. A week and a half later, still no RAM. FedEx says it's lost and they'll get it to me by the end of week two. No RAM at the end of week two. Now, FedEx is trying my patience. All through out this, Eli maintained excellent communication through not only PMs but also several long distance calls. In fact, he went out of his way to do anything possible to get me my RAM. Through some hard work and research done on the AT forums, he was able to get a hold of a supervisor's number and lo and behold they found my package and overnighted it to me. So after about three weeks I did get my RAM in excellent condition due to the great packaging. All in all, I would not hesitate for one second to deal with Eli in the future. He's definitely one of the best and most professional traders I've every dealt with. Thanks for the deal man!!!
