TDK (23)
bought a dvd
masterxfob was the Buyer on December 28, 2002 AnandTech
When asked about the condiion of the dvd and case, Rob said in writing that the dvd and case were in mint condition. Rob agreed to cross ship (seeing as how i had over 70 heatware evals at the time) but never did, he waited until he recieved and cashed payment. in addition, the case is made of paper and was recieved torn up; meaning it could not be replaced.
Rob was very immature about the situation and refused to offer a refund until the mods took a hand in the matter. The deal began on 11/29/02, Rob said he sent the refund on 12/16/02, yet two weeks later i have no refund.
i would not deal with Rob ever again and i warn everyone out there of his poor trading practices. Rob blatently lied about cross shipping and the condition of the item and then refused to offer a refund.
Response from TDKPffft, all this over a $10 DVD. Geez. This guy had "issues". The "rip" was maybe 2" on the dvd box. Who cares about the box anyways, the DVD itself was in mint condition! I DID refund all his money. It was the holidays and I was EXTREMELY busy so it took some time.December 28, 2002

i bought what was advertised as a PS2 controller for $10 shipped.
masterxfob was the Buyer on January 22, 2006 AnandTech
i received a PS1 controller that does not work with Fight Night 2, which is the reason i bought the controller in the first place. the seller offered a refund minus shipping when the blame lies on him. basically, he pulled a BAIT and SWITCH. trade with at your own risk or have him ship first.
Response from TrunksluTotally shameless and insane buyer here. If you really bought the controller for this one game, why didn\'t you tell me so BEFORE you buy?
Before he came up with the PS1 story and despite my bona fide offer to refund, he disputed with paypal within 2 hours of contacting me, and was immediately rejected. He then within 24 hours started a POLL on AnandTech trying to get the forum agree with his actions, and vast majority of people sided with me (only about 10% voted for him).
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=45&threadid=1785195
He disputed with paypal, he created the thread, and now he won\'t accept defeat. Some people just have no shame I guess.January 23, 2006

masterxfob was the Buyer on January 6, 2003 AnandTech
great price, extremely quick shipping, but the fella is rather forgetful. he forgot to mail some cables with the tv tuner, which he then said he would mail the next day. he 'forgot' about it and mailed it a week later.

NDENT (14)
i paid for a PS2 with paypal, but backed out due to poor communication. NDENT would bump his threads several times, but would not reply to my PM's.
masterxfob was the Buyer on March 28, 2005 AnandTech
after asking NDENT for a refund, he became slightly hostile and told me that he had already spent MY money so that i should just take the PS2. i refused and then he said he wouldn't be able to refund my money until friday (payday).
payday came, payday went, weekend came, weekend went, no refund. NDENT refused to refund my money until he found a new buyer for the system. it took nearly two weeks for me to get my money back.March 28, 2005

purchased win98se oem
masterxfob was the Buyer on November 24, 2002 AnandTech
seller sent me win98se "for distribution with a new Dell PC" i told paul the software was not legal and that i would not be able to put it to use. he apologized and offered to send me another legitimate copy, which i accepted. once recieved, i discovered it was another oem "for distribution with a new Dell PC" but with the sticker pulled off. i did recieve a refund, but paul blatantly lied and tried to defraud me.

i bought 2X512mb Mushkin PC3200.
masterxfob was the Buyer on March 19, 2005 AnandTech
the Mushkin did not work in my system, it kept hanging and rebooting my system. since i already had some Crucial PC3200 in my system, i thought it must have been bad ram. i contacted kyle about it and instead of offering help, he accused me of trying to switch his working ram for dead ram.
kyle then created a thread accusing me of being a troll and asking for advice. fellow members backed me up and advised kyle to take the ram back and give me a refund.
i mailed the ram back and kyle said it worked fine in his system. he sent me a refund minus $8.00 for his shipping costs.
it must have been some sort of compatibility issue with my system, but i had no idea of knowing that beforehand. i am sorry that it was a problem on my end. however, the way manner in which kyle handled the situation was uncalled for, for these reasons:
1. he accused me of being a troll in PM's right from the start.
2. i asked for a complete refund and he refused.
3. he created a thread accusing me of being a troll.
4. only after much pressure from fellow members did he give me a refund (minus $8.00).
5. he had a similar situation in which he had compatibility issues on his part. the seller immediately gave kyle a refund.
Response from webekyleI had accused him of switching the ram and being a troll because, from the beginning of him recieving the ram, his attitude towards me through PM was very negitive. In other words, he was very rude, it made me nervous, which led me to post a thread asking others for help (ive seen it happen before so i thought it was ok to do). I had never had any selling or buying problems here before on anandtech. Somehow the thread ended up backfiring on me because everyone teamed on his side because he had more heatware feedback than I. please note: i never had any other compatibility issues with the card i recieved in a previous deal, the guy didnt advertise what i was buying very well... Anyway, what im trying to say is: while masterxfob was scared of not getting his refund he told everybody in the thread that he said i wasnt going to give a refund. I had even told masterxfob a day/days before that i wasnt going to refund him till i had recieved the ram and within the hour i recieved it, i would...and i did. {please email me at webekyle@yahoo.com [sbcglobal.net] if you would like to see all the PMs between masterxfob and I}
another thing that was said when he was refunded and everything was settled was that no feedback was going to be left both ways... at this point i would love to leave his first negative heatware feedback, but will not in fear it may backfire again. i dont trust masterxfob anymore, no matter how much heatware he may have...March 19, 2005
